Emerging gamification and immersive technology encourage individuals, especially teenagers, to engage in a behavior, such as online shopping learning prosocial etc. Many current studies showed that the use of would positively predict individuals' intention towards behavior. Addressing the pressing need for urban sustainability, we propose an innovative framework quantifying and rewarding pro-environmental behaviors among residents. The methodology integrates three key dimensions: individual engagement, community values, environmental impact. Individual effort is measured using metabolic equivalent of task rates, which capture energy expenditure actions. Community values are prioritized by allocating weights based on their local importance, established stakeholder engagement. A comprehensive literature review used to evaluate specific ecological benefits each activity, ensuring that contributions sustainability measured. Focusing Gdańsk, Poland, as a case study, diverse set actions with importance was carefully selected evaluated. Stakeholder input enabled objective ranking weighting, were significant impactful. This systematic approach determines rewards, aligning them effort, goals, benefits, demonstrating framework's adaptability various settings. findings suggest may be effectively in future endeavors encourage meaningful, long-term behaviors. Global environmental challenges threaten both sustainable societal development and daily human life. As these issues intensify, promoting pro-environmental behaviors has become a key research priority. While reward strategies have been proven effective in encouraging such behaviors, most focused on the content of rewards, leaving method delivery underexplored. This study investigates effects an unlocking strategy behavior, grounded Goal-Setting Theory, while also exploring psychological mechanisms boundary conditions that influence effects. Three studies were conducted to test hypotheses.
