Digital transformation is a core weapon to promote the sustainable development of environmental service enterprises. This research presents pioneering analysis primary sources and internal mechanisms underlying performance impact digital in Chinese listed companies from 2009 2019. The empirical results show that can significantly improve firm performance. Abstract Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in pollutive industries exhibit varying levels of digital transformation activities. Given their substantial impact on the environment society, these SMEs face government public pressure to adopt environmental protection measures implement sustainable innovation strategies. This study examines relationships among technologies, dynamic capabilities, within China, specifically investigating mediating role platforms moderating divide connections. The was based a quantitative research design, data were collected from 386 respondents. Employing novel methodological approach, combines structural equational modelling (SEM) fuzzy set qualitative analysis (fsQCA) address notable gap. Through combined use SEM fsQCA, this offers richer, dual-layered understanding how individual configurational factors together enhance innovation. findings reveal positive impacts technologies capabilities innovation, emphasizing platforms. The way users perceive and use information systems artefacts has been mainly studied from the notion of behavioral beliefs, deliberate cognitive efforts, physical actions performed by human actors to produce certain outcomes. next generation systems, however, can sense, respond, adapt environments without necessitating similar contact, or explicit instructions operate. Therefore, leveraging theories consciousness technology use, this research aims advance an alternative understanding "use" associated with IS that do not require manipulation, yield theory proposed model were refined validated through burst detection technique, expert involvement (n=10), a pilot study (n=130), end-user surveys (n= 119). Structural equating modelling techniques employed test theory.
