Abstract The 2,3‐dihydrobenzofuran heterocyclic systems are found in various biologically active natural and pharmaceutical products of biological relevance such as Phalarine, Rocaglamide, Furaquinocin A. interest the study 2,3‐dihydrobenzofurans is constantly increasing because their numerous properties anti‐tumor, anti‐cancer, anti‐tubercular, anti‐malarial activities. Different methods have been established towards synthesis involved via intra‐ inter‐molecular reactions. Besides, 1,3‐dihydroisobenzofuran structure has identified a fundamental nucleus many products, bioactive compounds, functional molecules (e. g., Pestacin, Isopestacin, Citalopram, Xylarinol B, Matriisobenzofuran, Thunberginol F7‐O‐ β ‐D‐glucopyranoside). On other hand, 1,3‐disubstituted isobenzofurans powerful structural motifs with wide range activities, like anti‐inflammatory, anti‐histaminic, anti‐HIV. In last few years, decent number diligent synthetic approaches demonstrated toward synthesizing isobenzofurans. This review focuses on effective routes developed to construct 1,3‐dihydroisobenzofurans applications recent years.

The aza-Michael addition is a versatile reaction for the modification of α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds with amines. reactivity dimethyl itaconate as bio-based Michael acceptor explored in this work. Through its reactions piperidine and dibutylamine, it was found that order can be changed by choice catalyst, solvent, or concentration amine reactant. effectiveness catalysts proportional to their Lewis acidity. Competitive isomerisation into unreactive regioisomers suppressed using low-polarity solvents lower temperatures. The most common heterocyclic aromatic molecule with potential uses in industry and medicine is quinoline. Its chemical formula C9H7N, it has a distinctive double-ring structure pyridine moiety fused benzene ring. Various synthetic approaches synthesize quinoline derivatives. These include solvent-free approach, mechanochemistry, ultrasonic, photolytic microwave catalytic approaches. Luminescent compounds have garnered significant interest for their wide range of applications in light harvesting, cell imagining, LASERs, light-emitting diodes, etc. Conventional luminescent organic molecules show emissive properties the solution phase; however, solid state, a quenching fluorescence intensity occurs. Researchers been able to overcome such challenges using phenomenon aggregation-induced emission (AIE), which enhances solid-state through close packing aided by nonbonded interactions. Such molecules, conventionally referred as AIE luminogens, are observed phase-exclusive properties, i.e., state but nonemissive phase. drawbacks prompted us investigate having both and phase, viz., dual-state [dual-state (DSE) luminogens]. Among these, naphthalimides, owing versatile conformational arrangements, prime interest. In this article, we present design, synthesis, structural characterization, detailed spectroscopic studies naphthalimide-based luminogen molecule, 6-(4-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazin-1-yl)-2-(6-methoxybenzothiazol-2-yl)-1H-benzoisoquinoline-1,3(2H)-dione (HPMTB). Single-crystal X-ray diffraction provided information well molecular arrangement molecule HPMTB along three dimensions. Solution-phase revealed existence mechanofluorochromic within molecule. Detailed solution-phase photophysical investigations aggregates protic polar solvent (water) via accumulation flakes. Solid-state also shows reversible mechanofluorochromism HPMTB. The current work develops materials that can attain DSE sets up foundation development use smart materials.
