Food that contains lean meat powder (LMP) can cause human health issues, such as nausea, headaches, and even death for consumers. Traditional methods detecting LMP residues in are often time-consuming complex lack sensitivity. This article provides a review of the research progress on use surface–enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) technology meat. The also discusses several applications SERS meat, including enhanced detection based single metal nanoparticles, combining nanoparticles with adsorbent materials, immunizing other chemicals, related techniques. Zinc oxide Nanowires (ZnO-NWs) are promising biosensor materials and hold the key to overcoming challenges in field. This chapter provides an introductory overview of biosensing technology, focusing on fundamental principles comparing ZnO-NWs with other nanostructures regarding surface area, reactivity, electrical properties, charge transport behavior, optical, magnetic, piezoelectric mechanical flexibility. Providing synthesis characterization methods, ZnO-NWs’ processes also elaborated modification for selectivity, integration microfluidic systems, enhancing signal transduction, connecting biological elements like enzymes, antibodies, DNA. The discusses applications ZnO-NWs-based biosensors clinical diagnostics, environment monitoring, agricultural food safety. It investigates some case studies practical deployments. emphasizes how can address these challenges, such as stability, reproducibility, scalability, electronic devices. Adequate emerging trends that include utilization machine learning (ML) artificial intelligence (AI) further enhancement sensing performance prospects multifunctional sensor platforms presented, have been focus significant impacts biosensing. Also presented this potential breakthroughs future research directions.
