Abstract
Modern
humans
exhibit
phenotypic
traits
that
are
shared
across
independent
domestication
events,
suggesting
the
human
self-domestication
hypothesis.
Epigenetic
changes
may
facilitate
early
in
humans,
since
they
can
be
first
layer
of
response
to
a
novel
environment.
Here,
we
argue
fish
provide
model
systems
study
epigenetic
drivers
self-domestication.
To
do
this,
compare
genes
carry
domesticates
European
sea
bass
with
1)
anatomically
modern
and
2)
neurodevelopmental
cognitive
disorders
abnormal
traits,
i.e.,
schizophrenia,

Mitochondrial
genomes

Single-cell
RNA
sequencing
is
a
powerful
technique
that
continues
to
expand
across
various
biological
applications.
However,
incomplete
3′-UTR
annotations
can
impede
single-cell
analysis
resulting
in
genes

partially

completely
uncounted.

Abstract
Hybridization
has
been
recognized
as
an
important
driving
force
for
evolution,

studies

genetic
consequence
and
its
cause
are
still
lagging
behind
in
vertebrates
due
to
lack
appropriate
experimental
systems.
Fish

American
genus
Xiphophorus
were
proposed
have
evolved
with
multiple
ancient
ongoing
hybridization
events,

a
valuable
research
model
evolutionary
biology
biomedical

human
disease

we
