Abstract This study seeks to understand the recall of memorable tourism experience (MTE) from long-term memory. It primarily comprehend recollection MTEs tourists’ or alumni memory, and closely link human emotions travel destinations. Because of their significance, research on memorable tourism experiences (MTEs) has rapidly increased in the last decade. However, few comprehensive studies have traced knowledge creation and dissemination this important area. To address gap, 104 articles focused MTEs from eight journals were analyzed. This study applied multiple approaches, including a trend analysis prevailing themes keywords, bibliometric analysis, content generating suggestions for future research. Among meaningful results, identified three streams: experience economy, nomological network MTEs, remembered analysis. Additional findings nine agendas produced. Thus, by improving understanding customers’ our not only open paths but also implications industry.

Constructing Spanish smart destinations: a new guide for the tourism industry DOI

Purpose The purpose of this study is to analyse Benidorm, San Sebastián, Gijón, Málaga, Tenerife Island and Santander smart tourist destinations (STDs) as a touristic model example follow by other in Spain all over the world. Design/methodology/approach To fulfil stated objective, follows several phases that introduce classify set measures implemented six Spanish be designed STD. Findings suggest being STD requires high cost, only accessible big with enough resources. Of 50 provinces, eight are STDs, these localised coastal areas. In recent years, the mental health issues of university students have received increasing attention. Research has shown that meaningful life experiences, such as memorable tourism can enhance individuals’ sense meaning in and promote health. This study explores mechanisms through which experiences influence among students, focusing on mediating roles positive affect, self-reflection, personality traits, well moderating role gender. Using a questionnaire survey, data were collected from 880 students. Validated scales, including “Memorable Tourism Experience Scale, ““Positive Affect Scale,” “Self-Reflection “Personality Trait “Meaning Life employed to measure key constructs. Data analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) multi-group analysis test hypothesized relationships effects. The results indicate significant impact students’ life. Positive traits all partially mediate this relationship, with affect exhibiting strongest effect, while show relatively weaker mediation.
