The state of environmental pollution is random character, and it depends on climatic conditions, landforms, development industrialization. It estimated that in the last decade as many pollutants have been released into environment previous 70 years, rate still increases. Many scientific reports indicate that, addition to metals, pesticides are most commonly detected compounds environment. This situation mainly due irrational use these chemicals by humans. Mostly, soil changes caused influence can be determined various chemical analyses, which require sophisticated expensive equipment. However, biological methods, such those using microbiological activity an abundance microorganisms, e.g., organisms responsible for cycle organic matter nutrients, tend neglected. For this reason, aim present study not only assess validity other research studies were performed based available literature but compile methods compare them, allows depth understanding complexity processes following herbicide application conducting comprehensive biomonitoring.

Extremozymes combine high specificity and sensitivity with the ability to withstand extreme operational conditions. This work presents an overview of extremozymes that show potential for environmental monitoring devices outlines latest advances in biosensors utilizing these unique molecules. The characteristics various described so far are presented, underlining their stability conditions make them attractive biosensing. biosensor design is discussed based on detection photosynthesis-inhibiting herbicides as a case study. Several pesticides, heavy metals, phenols presented more detail highlight interesting substrate specificity, applications or immobilization methods. Compared mesophilic enzymes, integration faces additional challenges related lower availability production costs. use biosensing does not parallel success industrial applications. In recent years, “collection” recognition elements was enriched by selectivity thermostable chimeras. perspectives development exciting, considering also progress genetic editing oriented efficient folding, better electron transport. Stability, costs at sensing interfaces must be improved encourage wider biosensors.

Pollution of the environment, including water resources, is currently one greatest challenges due to emerging new contaminants anthropogenic origin. Of particular concern are organic pollutants such as pharmaceuticals, endocrine disruptors, and pesticides, but also other industrial pollutants, for example, synthetic dyes. The growing demand environmentally friendly economical methods removing dyes from wastewater resulted in increased interest possibility using techniques based on application polymer inclusion membranes (PIMs) this purpose. PIM-based promising eliminating aqueous solutions, wastewater, high efficiency, versatility, ease/low cost preparation, selectivity. This review describes latest developments related removal various solutions PIMs over past few years, with emphasis research aimed at increasing effectiveness selectivity PIMs, which may contribute wider use these future.
