The primary objective of this contribution is to offer insights into fundamentals associated with typical sample preparation, facilitating rational design new analytical technologies and effective optimization existing techniques. Sample preparation stands a pivotal stage in the process. Unfortunately, parameters often relies on trial error rather than systematic scientific methodologies. If an extraction method provides good recovery spikes standards, it assumed that works well no further consideration given underlying principles driving its performance. In realm are not accorded same significance as other technologies, such chromatography or mass spectrometry. Consequently, typically overlooked chemistry curricula. A notable impediment progress area underdeveloped understanding extraction, particularly when dealing natural, complex samples, where native analyte-matrix interaction different compared spikes. This contrast physiochemically simpler systems employed separation quantification steps, careful sampling can lead creation more efficient environmentally friendly technologies.
