Supply chain agility has become a key success factor for businesses trying to handle upheavals and uncertainty in today’s quickly changing business environment. Proactive risk reduction is essential achieving this agility. To facilitate real-time prevention improve agility, research study proposes an innovative strategy that makes use of machine learning as well predictive analytics approaches. Traditional supply management frequently uses post-event analysis historical data, which restricts its ability address interruptions. This research, on the other hand, promotes futuristic methodology foresee possible disruptions. Based contextual models can be trained find patterns correlations anomalies point imminent dangers. Organizations identify risks they arise take preventative measures by incorporating these into monitoring system. examines numerous methods, showing how used spot risks. These methods include time series anomaly detection natural language processing. Additionally, assessment are continuously improved optimized using algorithms, assuring their accuracy adaptability contexts. clarifies symbiotic relationship among synthesis theoretical discourse practical evidence. Case studies from various sectors highlight usefulness advantages suggested strategy. The novel technique visibility quicker response times capacity modify operations. development holistic framework incorporates procedures, setting path identification mitigation, one contributions. On side, case offered paper show actual benefits proposed approach across wide range businesses.

The purpose of this paper is to explore adaptation-based and stability-based views supply chain resilience analyse what insights these different perspectives, individually collectively, offer for theory practice. In the view, triggered by disruptions performance deviations return some 'normal' states. This view accounts known-known uncertainty. shifts focus from avoiding oscillations recovering stable states toward proactive adaptation persistence. aims at designing structurally adaptable networks with process flexibility actively used redundancy. It considers value-creation perspective accounting unknown-unknown uncertainties. Stability-based approach as an outcome or quantity. Adaptation-based a property quality. A combination stability- approaches imperative building strong immunity through integration general protection adaptability. Resilience is a frequently discussed concept in the context of supply chains, often likened to an immune system that plays vital role safeguarding against disruptions and facilitating recovery. Recognizing gap literature for constructs encapsulate chain resilience from perspective, this article introduces conceptual formal models drawing molecular biology immunology. Our reflect dual nature as composition preparedness recovery, interpreted through primary components systems—innate adaptive immunities. We discuss how certain analogies between systems, along with dissimilarities, can be leveraged enhance resilience. An system-inspired mechanism proposed using combination innate responses complemented by principles diversity redundancy. Finally, outlines potential research areas within domain (e.g., data-driven analytics, viability, ripple effect, complexity analysis, uncertainty modeling) could benefit application thereby contributing broadening scope current scholarly literature.

Abstract This study examines the effects of intertwining and circularity on design resilient viable sourcing recovery strategies in supply chains. We first construct a case where chains three industries (i.e., automotive, healthcare, electronics) frame an intertwined network (ISN). Through discrete-event simulation model developed anyLogistix, we examine impact disruptions demand performance individual ISN as whole. test several their combinations. A special focus is directed toward shared reverse flows. The results show that disruption processes Circular do not always follow conventional patterns known from resilience due to effects. offer some managerial recommendations for context are triangulated around collaborative practices, coordinated production planning, flows, visibility inventory management.

During a crisis, manufacturing processes in supply chains of different industries may network with each other as an adaptation response. We propose and examine "network-of-networks" mechanism such cross-industry to learn about the value reducing uncertainty through collaborative crisis preparedness response during COVID-19 pandemic. Supply chain resilience and the ripple effect have been widely studied, mostly focusing on material flow-related practices. The financial flow adjustments to cope with supply disruptions received much less attention. We contribute literature by examining impact of adapting payment terms during after disruptions. In particular, we perform a discrete event simulation analysis in anyLogistix for complex network investigate adjusting cash flows. Our results suggest that collaboratively is an effective strategy coping contrast, ad hoc immediate returns pre-disruption schemes do not yield visible improvements. Positive effects loans are observed if adjustment occurs proactively coordinated manner, especially when expediting payments downstream slowing down upstream. from our sensitivity accelerating/decelerating conversion cycles favour shorter deduce useful managerial insights reveal some new theoretical tensions related flows chains.
