Abstract Research has revealed a prevalence of boredom among L2 teachers, despite efforts to mitigate this negative emotion. The interplay between teacher and creativity, especially their concurrent development, not been extensively studied longitudinally. Utilizing control‐value theory as its foundation, study investigates the daily progression creativity mutual how beliefs influence these dynamics. A 5‐day experience sampling method involving 98 teachers generated 423 observations. Dynamic structural equation modeling (DSEM) was employed at individual (Level 1) group 2) levels. DSEM results varied relationships changes over week, influenced by teachers’ control value beliefs. In innovators, with high perceived intrinsic moderate extrinsic beliefs, previous experiences might positively teacher's next day. This might, in turn, decrease boredom. suggests potential positive relationship innovative language teachers. adaptors, medium low did necessarily However, still For traditionalists, have decreased day, while same Finally, dissatisfied control, value, predict Results suggest reciprocal adaptable traditionalist Additionally, Level 2 analysis identified correlations random effect parameters across four clusters.

Adopting a sequential mixed-methods approach, the current inquiry examined English major students’ perceptions of role teacher confirmation and credibility in enhancing their academic engagement Chinese context. In doing so, through WeChat messenger, three scales were provided to 1168 students chosen from different as foreign language (EFL) classes. For sake triangulation, 40 participants invited take part interview sessions well. The inspection correlations between constructs indicated strong association student well close connection credibility. This showed that EFL is tied these interpersonal behaviors. contribution was also using path analysis, which demonstrated predicted by confirmation. Additionally, outcomes proved integral two communication behaviors increasing engagement. Findings may have some noteworthy implications for educators instructors.

Since emotion regulation is a key factor in second language (L2) education, multitudes of studies have been conducted on this emotional factor. Yet, the majority previous research has focused strategies used by L2 learners. In recent years, some scholars started to explore teachers' from various perspectives, but best our knowledge, no systematic review date carried out area. Using CiteSpace software (Version 6.2.R2), present study analyzed 26 articles published 2020 2023. The analysis outcomes showed that growing still nascent area attracts interdisciplinary attention psychologists and linguists around globe. results also demonstrated Iran China are most fruitful fertile lands with having higher degree collaboration among institutions authors. English-as-a-foreign-language (EFL) learning is essential for Chinese senior high school students, but burnout can impair their engagement and performance. Resilience, however, enhance shield them from burnout. This mixed-methods study aimed to investigate the interplay between burnout, resilience, among 413 EFL learners. Using AMOS 24, quantitative analyses with structural equation modeling (SEM) revealed reciprocity these three constructs. Specifically, was negatively associated both resilience engagement, explaining 28.6% 33.3% of shared variance respectively. Besides, were positively correlated, sharing 70.6% variance. Qualitative semi-structured interviews 15 analyzed by MAXQDA 2022, supported this specifying role each component also discusses theoretical practical implications findings suggests directions future research.

Abstract Research on teacher beliefs has gained significant attention from scholars, resulting in a vast body of literature. To understand the current trends, themes, key contributors, and emerging areas this domain, we utilized CiteSpace to review 1,731 publications 1951 2023 through WOS database. The findings indicate that:1) Over recent decades, there been consistent increase concerning beliefs, which is still promising years. 2) research themes can be divided into professional development, teaching practices, self-efficacy, theoretical orientation, student performance. 3) There noticeable lack collaboration both across academic institutions among different authors field research. 4) In terms hotspots, it roughly external environment, belief ontology, practices. 5) frontiers, four main frontiers were identified periods: epistemological belief, implementation, inclusive education, English. This study contributes researchers’ understanding developmental trajectory research, thus providing references guidance for future endeavors.
