The urban heat island (UHI) is a crucial factor in developing sustainable cities and societies. Appropriate data collection, analysis, prediction are essential first steps studying the effects of UHI. This research systematically reviewed papers related to UHI that have used on-site collection United States Canada predicting analyzing this effect these regions. To achieve goal, study extracted 330 articles from Scopus Web Science and, after selecting papers, 30 detail 1998 2023. findings paper indicated methodological shift traditional sensors loggers towards more innovative customized technologies. Low-carbon procurement policies are growing rapidly at the local, state, and federal levels within US globally. Despite prevailing recognition of importance low-carbon procurement, research effort to investigate impact public on different project delivery aspects is notably limited. To this end, study investigates bidding dynamics construction industry. First, parametric distributions were fitted competitors' historic markup records. Second, two considered, lowest eligible bid performance discount rate. Third, environmental considerations approaches integrated into Friedman's Gates's models estimate future outcomes such as optimum value, probability winning against all competitors, expected profit. Finally, showcase practicality reliability proposed framework, it was applied a case from literature. The concept of smart sustainable cities—as a favorable response to different challenges faced in urban areas—is rapidly gaining momentum and worldwide attention. This trend has driven the exploration various technologies improve utilization limited resources idling capacities (i.e., underutilized physical assets such as buildings or facilities). In fact, new business model been introduced recently cities, known “shared economy”. shared economy is socioeconomic system that enables intermediary exchanges goods services between people and/or organizations, which boosts productivity leverages maximum potential. However, one inherent issues hindering wide adoption systems lack trust providers users systems. To this end, study focuses on long-term properties/buildings proposes an intelligent, IoT-enabled device dynamic pricing address issue information asymmetry. Urban Heat Islands are a major environmental and public health concern, causing temperature increase in urban areas. This study used satellite imagery machine learning to analyze the spatial temporal patterns of land surface distribution Metropolitan Area Merida (MAM), Mexico, from 2001 2021. The results show that has increased MAM over period, while footprint expanded. also found high correlation (r> 0.8) between changes cover classes (urbanization/deforestation). If current urbanization trend continues, difference its surroundings is expected reach 3.12 °C ± 1.11 by year 2030. Hence, findings this suggest Island effect growing problem highlight importance for monitoring developing mitigation strategies.
