Enhanced Dissolution and Bioavailability of Curcumin Nanocrystals Prepared by Hot Melt Extrusion Technology

Purpose:
Curcumin
nanocrystals
(Cur-NCs)
were
prepared
by
hot
melt
extrusion
(HME)
technology
to
improve
the
dissolution
and
bioavailability
of
curcumin
(Cur).
Methods:
Cur-NCs
with
different
drug-carrier
ratios
one-step
process
Eudragit
®
EPO
(EEP)
as
carrier.
The
dispersed
size
solid
state

in
extruded
samples
characterized
dynamic
light
scattering
(DLS),
scanning
electron
microscope
(SEM),
differential
calorimetry
(DSC),
X-ray
diffraction
(XRD).

This
study
aimed
to
optimize
the
preparation
of
multiple
oil-water-oil
(O/W/O)
emulsions
using
varying
