Abstract STUDY QUESTION What are the factors influencing decline in birth rates observed higher-income countries later phase of COVID-19 pandemic? SUMMARY ANSWER Our results suggest that economic uncertainty, non-pharmaceutical policy interventions, and first wave population-wide vaccination campaign were associated with during 2022. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY During pandemic, most briefly declined then shortly recovered, showing no common trends afterwards until early 2022, when they unexpectedly dropped. DESIGN, SIZE, DURATION This study uses data on monthly total fertility (TFRs) adjusted for seasonality calendar effects provided Human Fertility Database (HFD). Births taking place between November 2020 October 2022 correspond to conceptions occurring February January i.e. after onset pandemic but prior Russian invasion Ukraine. Abstract Purpose The Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (JSOG) registry gathers comprehensive data from registered assisted reproductive technology (ART) facilities in Japan. Herein, we report 2021 ART cycle characteristics outcomes. Methods Descriptive statistics were used to summarize analyze data. Results In 2021, 625 participated the registry; 27 did not conduct cycles 598 treatment cycles. total, 498 140 registered, there 69 797 neonates (increases 10.7% 15.5%, respectively, previous year). number freeze‐all vitro fertilization (IVF) intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) decreased 2021; born was 2268 for IVF‐embryo transfer (ET) 2850 ICSI Frozen–thawed ET (FET) increased markedly 2020 (11.2% increase). 239 428 FET conducted, resulting 87 174 pregnancies 64 679 neonates. For fresh transfers, total single ET, singleton pregnancy rate, live birth rates 82.7%, 97.0%, 97.3%; FET, these 84.9%, 96.9%, 97.1%. Conclusions Japanese analysis showed marked increases both births year.

In the absence overt clinical signs, evaluation for MGTI beyond semen analysis is not well established. Therefore, we literature on and management setting infertility. Recent findings A set international guidelines recommends culture PCR testing, but significance positive results remains unclear. Clinical trials evaluating anti-inflammatory or antibiotic treatment report improvements sperm parameters leukocytospermia, data effect conception rates are lacking. Human papillomavirus (HPV) novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) have been associated with poor decreased rates. Summary The finding leukocytospermia prompts further MGTI, including focused physical examination. role routine controversial. Treatment options include anti-inflammatories; frequent ejaculation; antibiotics, which should used symptoms microbiological infection. Here, we review advances therapies through lens improving female health. Specifically, begin our discussing fundamental structure biochemical modifications associated with mRNA-based drugs. Then, discuss various packaging technologies, including lipid nanoparticles, can be utilized protect transport drugs target cells Last, conclude usage therapy for addressing pregnancy-related vaccination against sexually transmitted diseases women. Of note, highlight relevant clinical trials using while providing their corresponding National Clinical Trial identifiers. Abstract Uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine among pregnant persons is lower than general population. This scoping review explored people’s attitudes towards vaccine, reasons for hesitancy, and whether about vaccines differ by country origin. A was conducted across PubMed, Embase, CINHAL, Scopus. Inclusion criteria were articles published in English from 2019–2022 focused on vaccination persons. Data analysis done via 5Cs framework hesitancy: Constraints, Complacency, Calculation, Confidence, Collective Responsibility. 44 extracted. lack confidence safety most prevalent theme hesitancy largely driven a access to information as well mistrust medical professionals. Meanwhile, acceptance mostly desire protect themselves their loved ones. Overall, continues be high. Vaccine primarily fear unknown side effects fetuses along with mistrust. Some differences can seen between high income low- middle-income countries regarding showing that single solution cannot applied all who are hesitant. General strategies, however, utilized reduce including advocating inclusion clinical trials incorporating consistent counseling during prenatal appointments.

The clinical management of COVID-19 in pregnant women, who are considered a vulnerable population, remains uncertain even as the pandemic subsides. SARS-CoV-2 affects individuals multiple ways and has been associated with severe maternal morbidity mortality, well neonatal complications. unique anatomy physiology gestation make managing this population complex challenging task, emphasizing importance spreading knowledge expertise area. Therapeutic interventions require distinct consideration, taking into account differences pharmacokinetics, vertical transmission, drug toxicities, postnatal care. Currently, there is limited data on antiviral immunomodulating pharmacotherapy pregnancy. Some medication shown to be safe tolerated among women COVID-19; however, lack randomized trials studies patient evident.
