Bacterial community is a key factor affecting aerobic composting, and understanding bacterial succession important to revealing the mechanism of organic matter degradation. In this study, metabolic characteristics communities were explored in 45 days composting sheep manure wheat straw by using high-throughput sequencing technology bioinformatics tools, respectively. Results showed that alpha diversity significantly decreased thermophilic (T2) phase then recovered gradually bio-oxidative (T3) maturation (T4) phases. varied at different stages, but there 158 genera common species. Unclassified_f_Bacillaceae, Oceanobacillus, Bacillus, Pseudogracilibacillus, Nocardiopsis identified as keystone genera.
