The extensive application of antibiotics in human and veterinary medicine has led to their widespread occurrence a natural aquatic environment. Global health crisis is associated with the fast development antimicrobial resistance, as more infectious diseases cannot be treated than once. Sulfamethoxazole, trimethoprim ciprofloxacin are most commonly detected water systems worldwide. persistent toxic nature these makes elimination by conventional treatment methods at wastewater plants almost impossible. advanced oxidation processes heterogeneous photocatalysis over TiO2-based materials promising solution. This highly efficient technology potential sustainable, cost-efficient energy-efficient. A comprehensive review on various photocatalysts for degradation sulfamethoxazole, focused highlighting photocatalytic performance under reaction conditions (different amounts pollutant photocatalyst, pH, light source, media, presence inorganic ions, organic matter, oxidants). Hospitals played vital role in the maintenance and sustenance of human health. However, hospital activities generate high volume toxic solid liquid containing diverse inorganic, organic microbial wastes released untreated into ecosystem. The management wastewater particular has been a major source concern due to presence unregulated emerging micro-pollutants at concentrations range ng/L μg/L. These pollutants low concentration exert different potential health effects on aquatic species. In this review, formation, composition, properties ecotoxicology selected (Norfloxacin, Ofloxacin, Ciprofloxacin, Clofibric acid Carbamazepine) were reviewed. review also elucidates detection quantification micropollutants by Spectrophotometry techniques, Gas Chromatography, Ion Chromatography-Mass spectrometry, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography.
