In recent years, antibiotics have been listed as a new class of environmental pollutants. Tetracycline (TCs) used in human medical treatment, animal husbandry and agricultural production are the most widely antibiotics. Due to their wide range activities low cost, annual consumption is increasing. TCs cannot be completely metabolized by humans animals. They can abused or overused, causing continuous accumulation ecological environment potential negative effects on non-target organisms. Efficient photocatalysts are crucial for degrading antibiotic pollutants in water and vital environmental remediation. In this study, an efficient carbon quantum dot (CQD)-modified BiOBr/Bi2WO6 hybrid material was prepared by a mild hydrothermal method. Meanwhile, visible-light-driven micromotor based on the photocatalyst developed. The can achieve self-propelled motion powered photocatalytic degradation reaction. It exhibited remarkable activity toward common water, such as sulfonamide, quinolone, tetracycline antibiotics. Among them, 10CQD/BiOBr/Bi2WO6-4 (10CBBr-4) highest activity, which 2.8 5 times higher than those of BiOBr Bi2WO6, respectively. high is attributed to decoration CQDs, promoted visible-light absorption. Additional contributions may be due specific Z-type electron transport mode flower-like inserted two-dimensional (2D) Bi2WO6 nanosheets, enriched active reaction sites, facilitated adsorption molecules, final radical attack. Based theoretical calculation molecular orbitals Fukui index, possible intermediate products, pathways, mechanism were elucidated. Abstract Background Threats of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) to human health are on the rise worldwide. Airborne fine particulate matter (PM 2.5 ), especially those emitted from hospitals, could serve as a substantial yet lesser-known environmental medium inhalable antibiotic resistomes. A genome-centric understanding hosting bacterial taxa, mobility potential, and consequent risks resistomes is needed reveal relevance PM -associated AMR clinical settings.
