The regulation of nitrite levels in potable water is primarily motivated by the potential for excessive amounts to induce methemoglobinemia, which also referred as blue baby syndrome. Human and industrial activities generate release nitrite-containing wastewater into bodies, thereby endangering ecosystem health contaminating sources. Biosorption an alternative environmentally beneficial method treatment. These methods have several advantages over conventional methods, including their cost-effectiveness, accessibility, reusability. This study investigates viability utilizing guava leaf, neem orange peel, banana custard apple leaf bio-sorbents removal from contaminated water. One hundred percent efficiency result this endeavor. Following examination all six bio-sorbents, it was observed that exhibited most effective performance Additionally, impacts various parameters contact duration, agitation speed, adsorbent dosage, pH, temperature are investigated. prior utilization, biomass may undergo physical chemical modifications. To enhance analysis each bio-sorbent, a range characterization techniques utilized, XRD, SEM-EDX, FTIR, BET analysis. Economic feasibility can be achieved regenerating reprocessing bio-sorbent subsequent nitrites process.

A substantial environmental and societal problem is posed by pollutants found in aqueous solution. These generally consist of dangerous heavy metals metalloids. In rural locations, hardness chlorides are among the most problems groundwater. Chlorides regulated quality drinking water because excessive quantities can cause disease. Due to its alkaline nature, both gaseous liquid forms be irritating eyes, respiratory system, epidermis. The acute biologic effects humans dependent on dose proportionate their concentration. Abstract To prevent water scarcity, wastewater must be discharged to the surface or groundwater after being treated. Another method is reuse in some areas treatment and evaluate it as much possible. In this study, aimed recover caustic (sodium hydroxide, NaOH) used recycling of plastic bottles from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) washing wastewater. Chemical substances industry will significantly reduced with chemical recovery Ultrafiltration (UP150) nanofiltration (NP010 NP030) membranes were for purpose our study. Before using membranes, pre-treatment was performed coagulation-flocculation process reduce pollutant accumulation on membranes. Different coagulants flocculants find suitable pre-treatment. The pre-treated aluminum oxide, which supplied highest oxygen demand (COD) removal (76.0%), a dead-end filtration system filtered through NP010 NP030 at different pressures (10–30 bar). same system, raw UP150 membrane. Among these scenarios, best that could remove pollutants provide NaOH selected. After each treatment, pH, conductivity, COD, analyses performed. maximum (98.6%) obtained membrane 5 bar.

Abstract Leachate, water originating from waste piles, is rich in organic content, making it appropriate for use as liquid fertilizer. However, raw leachate contains heavy metals that may harm plants and soil. To address this, the treated through fermentation using EM4 microorganisms wastewater, which acts a nutrient source microorganisms. This study explored potential of plant growth, particularly Ixora or Asoka plants, are valued their ornamental fragrant qualities. Leachate samples Batuan landfill were diluted to lower concentration tested 9 reactors, each duplicated. Different concentrations volumes wastewater applied variables. Observations included growth (height, number leaves, flowering time), soil pH, moisture, metal Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Results indicated meets Ministry Agriculture’s standards Indonesia (No. 70/2011), rendering viable The treatment combination A2 (300 mL at 1.33% with 600 wastewater) yielded most significant results, height increasing by 2.5 cm leaf count 18. Treatment A1 1% was effective flowering, blooming days after application. demonstrates leachate, when combined processes, can be an effective, sustainable It—promotes while improving quality, offering practical solution management agricultural productivity.

In rural India, nitrite-contaminated water is common. Economical and safe treatment needed to eliminate nitrite. Nitrite levels in drinking are restricted because excess might induce methemoglobinemia (blue-baby syndrome). The world has 3% clean water. Nitrite-containing pollutants from human industrial activities pollute resources jeopardize ecological health. Chemical precipitation membrane filtration expensive when treating large volumes of water, ineffective at low metal concentrations, produce amounts toxic sludge other byproducts that must be disposed properly. Bio-sorption a greener wastewater technology. These cheaper, more accessible, reusable methods have benefits over conventional ones. This study tests biosorbents such neem leaf, custard apple guava mango tree orange peel, banana peel for nitrite removal contaminated 100% was achieved. effects contact length, agitation speed, adsorbent dose, pH, temperature also examined. Before usage, biomass can physically chemically changed. Regenerating reprocessing biosorbent after heavy makes the procedure cost-effective.
