Background: The gut microbiome plays an essential role in human health. Despite the link between air pollution exposure and various diseases, its association with during susceptible life periods remains scarce. Objectives: In this study, we examined black carbon particles quantified prenatal postnatal biological matrices bacterial richness diversity measures, families. The involvement of the gut microbiota and metabolites colon-residing bacteria in brain disease pathogenesis has been covered a growing number studies, but comparative literature is scarce. To fill this gap, we explored contribution microbiota-gut-brain axis to pathophysiology seven brain-related diseases (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum schizophrenia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's major depressive bipolar disorder). In article, discussed changes bacterial abundance metabolic implications these on development progression. Our central findings indicate that, mechanistically, all are associated with leaky gut, neuroinflammation, over-activated microglial cells, which gut-residing their important contributors. Patients show pro-inflammatory shift colon microbiota, harbouring more Gram-negative containing immune-triggering lipopolysaccharides (LPS) cell walls. addition, properties (

The influence of gut microbiota on physiological processes is rapidly gaining attention globally. Despite being under-studied, there are available data demonstrating a microbiota-gonadal cross-talk, and the importance this axis in reproduction. This study reviews impacts In addition, possible mechanisms by which modulates male female reproduction presented. Databases, including Embase, Google scholar, Pubmed/Medline, Scopus, Web Science, were explored using relevant key words. Findings showed that promotes gonadal functions modulating circulating levels steroid sex hormones, insulin sensitivity, immune system, microbiota. Gut also alters ROS generation activation cytokine accumulation. conclusion, demonstrate existence axis, role functions. Recent studies revealed a significant role of the gut fungal community in human health. Here, we investigated content and variation mycobiota among subjects from European population. We explored interplay between fungi various host-related sociodemographic, lifestyle, health, dietary factors. The study included 923 participants. Fecal DNA samples were analyzed by whole-metagenome high-throughput sequencing. Subsequently, taxonomic profiles determined accompanied computational statistical analyses association with 53 Fungal communities characterized high prevalence Saccharomyces, Candida, Sporisorium. Ten factors found to correlate significantly overall variation. Most diet related, including consumption chips, meat, sodas, sweetening, processed food, alcohol, followed age marital status. Differences α- and/or β-diversity also reported for other such as body mass index (BMI), job type, autoimmunological diseases, probiotics. Differential abundance analysis species that exhibited different patterns changes under specific conditions. is dominated yeast, Malassezia, Candida. Although intervolunteer variability was high, several persisted across most samples, which may be evidence core exists. Moreover, showed diet, age, status influence mycobiota. Abstract This research investigates the effects of phytogenic feed additives (PFAs) on growth performance, gut microbial community, and metabolic functions in weaned piglets via a combined 16S rRNA gene amplicon shotgun metagenomics approach. A controlled trial was conducted using 200 pigs to highlight significant influence PFAs microbiota dynamics. Notably, treatment group revealed an increased diversity, as measured with Shannon Simpson indices. The increase diversity is accompanied by beneficial bacterial taxa, such Roseburia , Faecalibacterium Prevotella decline potential pathogens like Clostridium sensu stricto 1 Campylobacter . Shotgun sequencing at species level confirmed these findings. modification profile coupled altered pathways, suggesting reconfiguration function under PFA influence. Significant shifts overall community structure week 8 demonstrate treatment’s temporal impact. Histomorphological examination unveiled improved PFA-treated piglets. results this study indicate that use dietary supplements can be effective strategy, augmenting reshaping function, enhancing structure, optimising intestinal health providing valuable implications for swine production. Key points • significantly diversify piglets, aiding balance Changes due resistance weaning stress show ease stress, offering substitute antibiotics piglet diets
