Accumulating evidence suggests that multiple sclerosis (MS) is an environmentally influenced disorder with contributions from life-time exposure to factors including Epstein–Barr virus infection or shifts in microbiome, diet and lifestyle. Abstract Sleep disturbances are increasingly prevalent, significantly impacting physical and mental health. Recent research reveals a bidirectional relationship between gut microbiota sleep, mediated through the microbiota–gut–brain axis. This review examines role of in sleep physiology explores how biotics, including probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics, postbiotics, fermented foods, can enhance quality. Drawing from animal human studies, we discuss neurobiological mechanisms by which biotics may influence modulation neurotransmitters, immune responses, hormonal regulation. Key microbial metabolites, such as short‐chain fatty acids, highlighted for their supporting sleep‐related neurochemical processes. Additionally, this presents dietary strategies food processing technologies, like fermentation, innovative approaches enhancement. Although promising, available has limitations, small sample sizes, variability biotic strains dosages, reliance on subjective assessments. underscores need standardized protocols, objective assessments polysomnography, personalized interventions. Emerging findings highlight therapeutic potential improvement, though further large‐scale trials essential to refine strain selection, dosage, formulation. interdisciplinary exploration seeks advance food‐based interventions holistic managing disorders improving quality life.

Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) is an eating characterized by a severely restrictive diet leading to significant physical and/or psychosocial sequelae. Largely owing the phenotypic heterogeneity, underlying pathophysiological mechanisms are relatively unknown. Recently, communication between microorganisms within gastrointestinal tract and brain-the so-called microbiota-gut-brain axis-has been implicated in pathophysiology of disorders. This Spotlight review sought investigate conceptualize possible ways that axis involved ARFID drive future research this area.
