Hypoxia, a deficiency in the levels of oxygen, is common feature most solid tumors and induces many characteristics cancer. Hypoxia associated with metastases strong resistance to radio- chemotherapy, can decrease accuracy cancer prognosis. Non-invasive imaging methods such as positron emission tomography (PET) single-photon computed (SPECT) using hypoxia-targeting radiopharmaceuticals have been used for detection therapy tumor hypoxia. Nitroimidazoles are bioreducible moieties that be selectively reduced under hypoxic conditions covalently bind intracellular macromolecules, trapped within cells tissues. Recently, there has motivation develop PET SPECT radiotracers containing nitroimidazole visualization treatment tumors. In this review, we summarize development some novel nitroimidazoles, well their physicochemical properties, vitro cellular uptake values, vivo biodistribution, PET/SPECT results.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder and the main cause of dementia worldwide. As pathogenesis AD quite complicated, there continuous attention to AD-associated active species, such as amyloid-β plaques, neurofibrillary tangles, metal ions, reactive oxygen/nitrogen/sulphur cholinesterase, viscosity, formaldehyde so on. To this end, series small molecular fluorescent probes for these species have been explored early diagnosis even remedy AD. Herein, we systematacially summarize versatile mainly in recent three years, including relationship between structure properties well targeted imaging application all probes. Moreover, challenges perspectives AD-related are briefly explicated. We firmly expect review may provide guidance constructing new AD-relevant promote clinical study

The research on fluorescent rotors for viscosity has attracted extensive interest to better comprehend the close relationships of microviscosity variations with related diseases. Although scientists have made great efforts, probes cellular both aggregation-induced emissions (AIEs) and large Stokes shifts improve sensing properties rarely been reported. Herein, we first report four new meso-C═N-substituted BODIPY-based shifts, investigate their viscosity/AIE characteristics, perform imaging in subcellular organelles. Interestingly, meso-C═N-phenyl group-substituted probe 6 showed an obvious 594 nm fluorescence enhancement glycerol a moderate 650 red AIE emission water. Further, attaching CF3 phenyl group, similar phenomenon was observed 7 red-shifted emissions, attributed introduction which plays key role shifts. Comparatively, phenyl-group-free probes, meso-C═N-trifluoroethyl group thiazole-substituted (8 9) exhibited good viscosity-responsive properties, while no due absence groups. For experiments, 9 lysosomal mitochondrial targeting respectively, were further successfully used through preincubation monensin lipopolysaccharide (LPS), indicating that C═N polar groups potentially work as rotatable moieties organelle-targeting groups, difference might be ascribed increased charges thiazole. Therefore, this study, investigated structural meso-C═N respect subcellular-targeting ability, viscosity, serving imaging.

D-A-D double fluorescent molecule P2-DPP obtained coupling reaction. absorption peak emission are 600 1020 nm, respectively. It has potential excellent imaging characteristics. does not need to use nanoparticles formed DSPE-MPEG amphiphilic block form micelles. quantum yield reaches 0.6% penetration depth can reach 10 mm. chemical capable achieving liver renal metabolism. a good application prospect in photothermal therapy mouse tumors realizes integration biological diagnosis treatment.

Superoxide anion (O2·–) and peroxynitrite (ONOO–), two important oxidants under oxidative stress, coexist in complex cell organism systems, playing crucial roles various physiological pathological processes, particularly neurodegenerative diseases. Despite the absence of robust molecular tools capable simultaneously visualizing O2·– ONOO– biosystems, relationship between these species remains understudied. Herein, we present sequentially activated fluorescent probe, DHX-SP, which exhibits exceptional selectivity sensitivity toward ONOO–. This probe enables precise imaging living PC12 cells stress conditions using distinct fluorescence signal combinations.
