Abstract Poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) have garnered extensive attention due to their dissolubility, stability, hydrophobicity, oleophobicity, contributing long-range transport of PFASs in the water. Air Bubbling Assisted Soil Washing to Treat PFAS in High Organic Content Soils DOI Open Access

The soil-washing technique has been successfully utilized for the remediation of PFAS-contaminated soils. Prior studies have shown that organic carbon (OC) content and grain size soil determined efficiency PFAS removal during washing. Perfluoroalkyl acid (PFAA) precursors are a diverse subclass of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) that can be transformed into PFAAs public health concern. Unlike strongly acidic PFAAs, anionic, cationic, neutral, or zwitterionic. Precursor charge affects the environmental fate, but existing quantification techniques struggle to ascertain abundance compounds within each group. To fill this gap, we developed validated solid-phase extraction procedure separates by quantifies sum in fraction with total oxidizable precursor (TOP) assay. This study presents a novel semiquantification approach for nontarget screening (NTS), combining matrix-matched calibration and ionization class-specific average curves (ACCs) to address the lack of analytical reference standards most per- polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Ionization ACCs carboxylic sulfonic acids, sulfonamides, cationic PFAS result in high accuracy, with median absolute accuracy quotients below 2.27×. Abstract Significant investments have been made to develop treatment technologies, particularly destructive approaches, for a variety of per‐ and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) that are present in groundwater, surface water, other environmental media. A multiple lines evidence approach were developed assist regulators, funding agencies, practitioners evaluating PFAS technology performance. This article describes each three is effective: (1) decrease target concentrations observed; (2) transformation products identified quantified; (3) mechanism proposed consistent with previous studies supported by data. Land Use/Land Cover (LULC) is one of the most significant human variables influencing efficiency Ecosystem Services (ESs) in terrestrial ecosystems. Theoretical and technical assistance for regional sustainable land use planning management, as well ecosystem conservation restoration, provided by investigating influence changes LULC pattern on ESs. This research focuses interactions between socioeconomic activities natural ecological processes Three Gorges Reservoir Area (TGRA). We data from TGRA years 1990, 2000, 2010, 2020.
