Abstract Marine plastic debris floating on the ocean surface is a major environmental problem. However, its distribution in poorly mapped, and most of waste estimated to have entered from land unaccounted for. In the environment, microplastics are subjected to multiple aging processes; however, information regarding impact of on environmental behavior is still lacking.
