As the population increases and manufacturing grows, greenhouse gas other harmful emissions increase. Contaminated with chemicals such as dyes, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, oil, heavy metals or radionuclides, wastewater purification has become an urgent issue. Various technologies exist that can remove these contaminants from sources, but they often demand high energy and/or cost, in some cases produce contaminant laden sludge requires safe disposal. The need for methods which are less capital intensive, operationally costly more environmentally friendly is suggested. Cellulose-based materials have emerged promising candidates treatment due to their renewability, low biodegradability, hydrophilicity, antimicrobial property. In this review article, we focussed on developing sustainable biodegradable cellulose-based treatment. This review concerns deep eutectic solvents (DES) and how they can be exploited in the preparation of new improved electrochemical sensing platforms. Abstract There has been a significant scope toward the cutting‐edge investigations in hierarchical carbon nanostructured electrodes originating from cellulosic materials, such as cellulose nanofibers, available natural and bacterial cellulose. Nanomedicine has been essential in bioimaging and cancer therapy recent years. Nanoscale covalent–organic frameworks (COFs) have growing as an adequate classification of biomedical nanomaterials with practical application prospects because their increased porosity, functionality, biocompatibility. The high sponginess COFs enables the incorporation distinct imaging therapeutic mechanisms a better loading efficiency. Nevertheless, preliminary biocompatibility limits possibility for clinical translation. Neurotransmitters are essential chemical messengers required for proper brain function, and any changes in their concentrations can lead to neuronal diseases. Therefore, sensitive selective detection is crucial. This study presents a fast simple colorimetric method dopamine using three reagent solutions: AgNP MPA, Ag/Au nanocomposite, mercaptophenylacetic acid. Bisphenol compounds play a pivotal role as essential diol monomers in the synthesis of numerous engineering plastics. However, conventional methods for their preparation often involve use concentrated inorganic acids, leading to significant environmental pollution and equipment corrosion. Herein, we developed strong acid-free synergistic catalytic system consisting Lewis–Brønsted acid catalyst composed ZnCl2 3-mercaptopropionic acid. This enabled highly efficient bisphenol through Friedel–Crafts alkylation reaction ketones with phenols or phenoxyethanol. The highest selectivity 9,9-bis[4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl]fluorene can reach 96.4% at 110 °C 2 h, which was higher than that traditional sulfuric method 85.0%.
