Abstract
Photo‐catalysis
by
small‐molecules
is
often
limited
catalyst
degradation
and
low
electron‐transfer
efficiency.
Herein
we
report
a
stable
N‐phenyl‐phenothiazine
(PTH)‐derived
porous
coordination
cage
(PCC)
as
highly
efficient
photocatalyst.
By
the
incorporation
of
photocatalytic
PTH
moiety
into
PCC,
aggregation‐induced
quenching
(AIQ)
was
shown
to
be
reduced.
An
improvement
in
stability
discovered,
ascribed
synergistic
effects
moieties.
The
catalyst,
operating
through
photolytic
single‐electron
transfer,
utilized
for
photo‐catalyzed
dehalogenation
borylation.
Evaluation
catalytic
mechanism
borylation
reaction
showed
that
improved
performance
results
from
more
formation
electron
donor‐acceptor
(EDA)
complex
with
cage.
This
discovery
provides
potential
strategy
improve
photophysical
properties
stabilities
small‐molecule
organic
photocatalysts
via
supramolecular
chemistry.

Metal-organic
frameworks
(MOFs)
with
expanding
porosity

mesopores

mono-ligand
MOFs,

UiO-66-NH2

thermolysis,
exhibits
significant
mesoporosity,
retained
crystal
structure,

charge
photogeneration
abundant
anchoring
sites,
ideal

single-site
photocatalysis.

Cu
then
accommodated
in
pore.

resulting

performance

A
novel
acylhydrazide‐based
gelator
(BE)
was
successfully
built
without
the
use
of
traditional
fluorescent
groups.
Surprisingly,

1,2‐propanediol,
BE
can
further
self‐assemble
into
a
stable
supramolecular
gel
(OBE)
and
display
significant
blue‐white
aggregation‐induced
enhanced
emission
(AIEE).
Interestingly,

on
excellent
coordination
capacity

hydrazone
bonds,
OBE
demonstrated
sensitive
response
to
Pd
2+
Fe
3+
,
with
corresponding
lowest
limits
