Abstract Photo‐catalysis by small‐molecules is often limited catalyst degradation and low electron‐transfer efficiency. Herein we report a stable N‐phenyl‐phenothiazine (PTH)‐derived porous coordination cage (PCC) as highly efficient photocatalyst. By the incorporation of photocatalytic PTH moiety into PCC, aggregation‐induced quenching (AIQ) was shown to be reduced. An improvement in stability discovered, ascribed synergistic effects moieties. The catalyst, operating through photolytic single‐electron transfer, utilized for photo‐catalyzed dehalogenation borylation. Evaluation catalytic mechanism borylation reaction showed that improved performance results from more formation electron donor‐acceptor (EDA) complex with cage. This discovery provides potential strategy improve photophysical properties stabilities small‐molecule organic photocatalysts via supramolecular chemistry.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with expanding porosity and tailored pore environments are intriguing for catalytic applications. We report herein a straightforward method of controlled partial linker thermolysis to introduce desirable mesopores into mono-ligand MOFs, which is different from the classical thermolyzing that starts mixed-linker MOFs. Zinc(II)porphyrin catalyzed light induced C–H arylation of heteroarenes from anilines is discussed. The method nontoxic and efficient, using only 0.5 mol % porphyrin catalyst to produce bi(hetero)aryls in good yields. This work demonstrates the potential use photocatalysts as efficient robust alternatives organic dyes.

In recent decades, people have witnessed a rapid development of society, accompanied by the increase sharply numerous organic/inorganic contaminants from industrial effluents. The high toxicity pollutants has led to long‐term risk human health. To connect with environment‐friendly green chemistry and sustainable development, photocatalysis technology emerged. Metal–organic framework (MOF)‐based photocatalysts performed efficiency for elimination wastewater pollutants. Nevertheless, large band gap energy recombination rate photogenerated electron–hole pair decrease catalytic efficiency. Sonochemistry is regarded as safe, highly efficient, clean, eco‐friendly technology, which aroused lot interest in treatment wastewater. cavitation effect induced ultrasonic waves promotes generation additional active radicals. oscillation facilitates cleaning surface catalysts, dispersing catalyst particles, increasing proton transport. A novel acylhydrazide‐based gelator (BE) was successfully built without the use of traditional fluorescent groups. Surprisingly, in 1,2‐propanediol, BE can further self‐assemble into a stable supramolecular gel (OBE) and display significant blue‐white aggregation‐induced enhanced emission (AIEE). Interestingly, based on excellent coordination capacity acyl hydrazone bonds, OBE demonstrated sensitive response to Pd 2+ Fe 3+ , with corresponding lowest limits detection 21.8 37.3 ppb, respectively. More interesting, H 2 PO 4 − could only be constantly recognized by Pd‐OBE (Pd coordinated OBE). Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), density functional theory (DFT) rheological measurements, self‐assembly process OBE, ion recognition sensing mechanism were extensively examined. Moreover, xerogel as supporter, heterogeneous catalyst Pd/OBE is prepared. The displays outstanding activity stability for Suzuki coupling reactions water. It easily reused at least five runs no decrease catalytic activity.
