Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic inflammatory condition of the digestive tract and closely associated with homeostasis gut microbiota. Inulin, as natural prebiotic, displays anti-inflammatory activity maintains equilibrium intestinal In this study, our research aimed to explore potential inulin in enhancing immunity reducing inflammation stress-recurrent IBD. co-culture epithelium model IBD mouse was used examine protective effects inulin. It observed that digesta significantly reduced pro-inflammatory cytokine expression (

The brain is the central organ of adaptation to stress because it perceives and determines threats that induce behavioral, physiological, molecular responses. In humans, chronic manifests as an enduring consistent feeling pressure being overwhelmed for extended duration. This can result in a persistent proinflammatory response peripheral nervous system (CNS), resulting cellular, behavioral effects. Compounding stressors may increase risk chronic-stress-induced inflammation, which yield serious health consequences, including mental disorders. review summarizes current knowledge surrounding neuroinflammatory rodent models stress—a relationship continually defined. Many studies investigating effects on neuroinflammation have identified significant changes inflammatory modulators, nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) toll-like receptors (TLRs), cytokines, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6. suggests these are key factors response, contribute establishment anxiety depression-like symptoms. neurological modulating through gene knockdown (KD) knockout (KO), conventional alternative medicine approaches, discussed.

Subarachnoid hemorrhage leads to a series of pathological changes, including vascular spasm, cellular apoptosis, blood–brain barrier damage, cerebral edema, and white matter injury. Microglia, which are the key immune cells in central nervous system, maintain homeostasis neural environment, support neurons, mediate participate regulation, have neuroprotective effects. Increasing evidence has shown that microglia play pivotal role pathogenesis subarachnoid affect process injury prognosis hemorrhage. Triterpenoids derived from plants are a promising class of natural antidepressants. This research focused on the therapeutic potential quinoa saponin (QS) in alleviating lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced anxiety and depressive-like behaviors mice. The most abundant fraction, QS–3, was isolated QS extracts, its major components chemical structure were elucidated. Six pentacyclic triterpene saponins three tetracyclic identified with phytolaccagenin oleanolic acid being dominant sapogenins. In vivo studies demonstrated that significantly mitigated LPS-induced mice, enhanced levels neurotrophic proteins, key synaptic neurotransmitters, restored function neuronal damage. Furthermore, inhibited neuroinflammation by curtailing activity TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB pathway modulating microglial phenotypes. Notably, also ameliorated colonic inflammation promoting gut microbiota homeostasis increasing short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) production, which contributed to improvement depressive Our findings suggest holds as dietary supplement for treatment prevention depression, possibly through modulation gut-brain axis dynamics suppression activation pathway.
