Abstract Preparation of highly enantioenriched six‐membered 1,4‐ N,N‐ and N,O‐ heterocycles has been developed through [4 + 2] heteroannulation α‐bromoacetates with 1,4‐binucleophiles. A series of chiral hybrid diphosphorus ligands incorporating a conformationally flexible tropos diphenylmethane-based phosphoramidite unit have been developed and evaluated in the Rh-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation 2-(1-arylvinyl)anilides α-enamides, leading to up >99% yield 99% enantiomeric excess. Preliminary results from comparative studies showcased extraordinary catalytic performance these phosphine–phosphoramidite ligands, with competency essentially superior those well-established regular rigid backbone.

An efficient enantioselective reductive amination and amidation cascade reaction has been developed. Catalyzed by iridium or rhodium complexes with the help of sets additives, coupling simple alkyl diamines α-ketoesters occurs smoothly to afford chiral cyclic piperazinone products. For disubstituted monosubstituted diamine substrates, corresponding reactions proceed through distinctive types intermediates thus require different transition metals achieve high enantioselectivity, namely, for former latter. In this transformation, applied highly modular phosphoramidite-phosphine hybrid ligands displayed preeminent versatility tunability.
