salicylic
acid
moiety

peroxide
bridge
part.
The
structures
compounds
were
assigned
by
extensive
spectroscopic
analysis,
quantum
calculations,
biogenetic
considerations.
Notably,
3
significantly
blocked
mTOR
signaling
pathway,
resulting
arrest
cell
cycle
at
G0‐G1
phase
triggering
mitochondrial
apoptosis
Hela
cells.
While
previously
reported
macrophorin
(MPA)
effectively
triggered
death
MDA‐MB‐231
cancer
cells
activating
pathways
involving
receptors,
mitochondria,
mTOR,
TNF.
