Photosensitizing assemblies based on twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) active donor–acceptor–donor (D-A-D) system BrTPA-Qx having bromine atoms at the periphery have been developed. Through strategic incorporation of para-position to nitrogen–carbon bonds phenyl rings periphery, halogen–halogen interactions are induced in nanoassemblies H2O:DMSO (99:1) solution. Hence, anti-heavy atom effect is induced, and limitations TICT (dark excited state) heavy (triplet deactivation via radiative decay) could be overcome. Because effect, supramolecular demonstrate high efficiency promoting activation aerial oxygen electron energy pathways aqueous media. The significant influence stabilized state anti-heavy-atom controlling ROS generation was validated through in-depth solvent-dependent photophysical studies investigations structure–activity relationship several model compounds. notable photosensitizing activity manifested their ability efficiently catalyze oxidative coupling benzylamine (via type I II mechanisms), Knoevenagel condensation aromatic aldehydes (type II), hydroxylation arylboronic acids I) under mild conditions.

The work presented in the manuscript describes a simple strategy for transforming thermally activated delayed fluorescent organic light-emitting diodes (TADF OLEDs) compound 10-(dibenzo[a,c]phenazin-11-yl)-10H-phenoxazine (DPZ-PXZ) into type I photosensitizer 10-(dibenzo[a,c]phenazin-11-yl)-10H-phenothiazine (DPZ-PHZ) by strategically introducing sulfur atom photosensitizing core. synthesized DPZ-PHZ exhibits aggregation-induced enhancement (AIE) and through-space charge transfer (TSCT) characteristics generates red emissive assemblies mixed aqueous media. original DPZ-PXZ well-separated HOMO LUMO levels is reported to have highly efficient reverse intersystem crossing (RISC). In comparison, incorporation of phenothiazine donor regulates electronic communication between acceptor units promotes (ISC) molecules. Interestingly, rapid activation aerial oxygen instant generation superoxide radical anion. Backed excellent activity, high catalytic potential synthesis benzimidazoles, benzothiazoles quinazolines derivatives under mild reaction conditions. provides an insight combination heavy approach TSCT achieving adequate units, balanced RISC/ISC, stabilized-charge separated state development assemblies.

In this study, an effective and stable Cu2+ incorporated within the lattice of ZIF-8 was hydrothermally synthesized employed as a heterogeneous catalyst for dehydrogenative coupling between 2-aminobenzamide CH3OH. The Cu2+-doped (Cu@ZIF-8) catalysts were firmly characterized using powder X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission photoelectron UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectra, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller techniques to examine their structural, morphological, elemental, optical, surface properties. catalytic efficiency Cu@ZIF-8 investigated in synthesis quinazolinone from CH3OH C1 source with Cs2CO3 base under oxygen atmosphere. Among different catalysts, 30% demonstrated superior activity formation compared pristine ZIF-8, indicating that doping ions provides synergetic effect during reaction. Furthermore, reusability experiments carried out catalyst, observed findings show is maintained up four cycles. structural integrity along morphology chemical structure reused solid also verified, no significant differences fresh solids plausible reaction mechanism proposed.
