Carbon
dots
(CDs)
are
a
class
of
nanobiomaterials
with
significant
potential
in
bone
regeneration.
Their
excellent
biocompatibility,
tunable
fluorescence,
high
stability,
low
toxicity,
and
abundant
functional
groups
make
CDs
promising
candidates
for
efficient
drug
delivery
tissue
contribute
to
targeted
release,
enhance
osteogenic
differentiation,
interact
cellular
components
facilitate
formation.
Recent
research
highlights
the
roles
scaffold-based
approaches,
offering
controlled
real-time
bioimaging
capabilities.
This
review
provides
comprehensive
overview
regeneration,
focus
on
their
synthesis,
functionalization,
biomedical
applications.
It
begins

exploring
CD
synthesis

Abstract
Water-soluble
fluorescent
N-doped
carbon
quantum
dots
(N-CQDs)
were
hydrothermally
prepared
through
a
green
synthesis
route
using
castor
seeds
as
single
precursor
and
hydrothermal
method.
Several
experimental
techniques
have
been
used
to
characterize
synthesized
N-CQDs
confirm
their
structure
verify
applicability
in
cell
imaging
pH
sensing.
The
found
are
characterized
by
amorphous
nature
with
spherical
shape
an
average
particle
size
of
6.57
nm
revealed
from
XRD
TEM
measurements.
FTIR
results
reveal
the

Introduction
