Autophagy
is

in
double-membrane
vacuolar
vesicle

degraded
lysosomes.
The
risk
of
colorectal
cancer
(CRC)
high,
there
growing
evidence
that
autophagy
plays
critical
role
regulating
the
initiation
metastasis
CRC;
however,
whether
promotes
suppresses
tumor
progression
still
controversial.
Many
natural
compounds
have
been
reported
to
exert
anticancer
effects
enhance
current
clinical
therapies
modulating
autophagy.
Here,
we
discuss
recent
advancements
molecular
mechanisms
CRC.
We
also
highlight
research
on
particularly
promising
modulators
for
CRC
treatment
with
evidence.
Overall,
this
review
illustrates
importance
provides
perspectives
these
regulators
as
new
therapeutic
candidates
drug
development.
