Solute carriers of the glucose transporter ( GLUT ) family mediate first step for cellular usage. Because they enable to sustain energy demand required by tumor cells various biochemical programs, are promising targets development anticancer strategies. Tumor cells must generate sufficient ATP and biosynthetic precursors in order to maintain cell proliferation requirements.
