Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a common clinical chronic disease, while its pathogenesis still inconclusive. Intestinal flora, the largest micro-ecological system in human body, involved in, meanwhile has major impact on body's material and energy metabolism. Recent studies have shown that addition to obesity, genetics, islet dysfunction, disturbance of intestinal flora may partly give rise diabetes. In this paper, we summarized current research correlation between T2DM concluded pathological mechanisms T2DM. Moreover, ideas methods prevention treatment based were proposed, providing theoretical basis literature reference for complications regulation flora.

The virulence factor database (VFDB, http://www.mgc.ac.cn/VFs/) is dedicated to presenting a comprehensive knowledge base and versatile analysis platform for bacterial factors (VFs). Recent developments in sequencing technologies have led increasing demands analyze potential VFs within microbiome data that always consist of many different bacteria. Nevertheless, the current classification from various pathogens based on schemes, which create chaotic situation form barrier easy application VFDB dataset future panbacterial metagenomic analyses. Therefore, extensive literature mining, we recently proposed general category reorganized accordingly. Thus, all known 32 genera common collected are well grouped into 14 basal categories along with over 100 subcategories hierarchical architecture. new coherent well-defined will be feasible applicable terms factors. In addition, introduced redesigned JavaScript-independent web interface website make readily accessible users client settings worldwide.
