Gastric cancer (GC) occurs in the gastric mucosa, and its high morbidity mortality make it an international health crisis. Therefore, novel drugs are needed for treatment. The use of natural products their components treatments has shown promise. this study aimed to evaluate effect 8-paradol, a phenolic compound isolated from ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe), on GC determine underlying mechanisms action. In study, repeated column chromatography was conducted EtOH extract isolate gingerol derivatives. cytotoxicity eight compounds underwent (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)− 2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) tetrazolium reduction (MTT) assay. 8-paradol showed most potent among compounds. mechanism by which regulated specific proteins AGS cells evaluated proteomic analysis. To validate predicted mechanisms, thymus-deficient nude mice bearing xenografts were used as vitro vivo models GC, respectively. results that promoted PINK1/Parkin-associated mitophagy, mediating cell apoptosis. Additionally, inhibition mitophagy chloroquine (CQ) ameliorated 8-paradol-induced mitochondrial dysfunction apoptosis, supporting causative role anticancer effect. Molecular docking revealed molecular interactions between mitophagy-/ apoptosis-related at atomic level. Our provides strong evidence could act potential therapeutic agent suppress progression targeting pathway.

Cancer-related fatigue, insomnia, and cancer-related cognitive impairment are commonly experienced symptoms that share psychological physical manifestations. One or more of these will affect nearly all patients at some point during their course treatment survivorship. These side effects burdensome reduce patients' quality life well beyond cancer diagnosis associated care treatments. likely to have multiple etiologies make it difficult identify the most effective method manage them. In this review, we summarized information on incidence prevalence among breast survivors as recent research findings pharmaceutical, psychological, exercise interventions shown effectiveness in effects. Our review revealed current pharmaceutical tend ameliorate only temporarily without addressing underlying causes. Exercise behavioral consistently managing chronic possibly address an etiology. Future is needed investigate can be delivered directly clinic a large portion survivors.

ZnO quantum dots (QDs) were synthesized with polymer shells, coordinated Gd(3+) ions and adsorbed doxorubicin (DOX) together to form a new kind of multifunctional ZnO-Gd-DOX nanoplatform. Such pH sensitive nanoplatforms shown release DOX cancer cells in vitro mouse tumors vivo, reveal better specificity lower toxicity than free DOX, even therapeutic efficacy an FDA approved commercial DOX-loading drug DOX-Liposome Injection (DOXIL, NDA#050718). The exhibited strong red fluorescence, which benefited the fluorescent imaging on live mice. Due special structure nanoparticles, such possessed high longitudinal relaxivity r1 52.5 mM(-1) s(-1) at 0.55 T, was superior many other based nanoparticles. Thus, both fluorescence labeling magnetic resonance could be applied simultaneously tumor bearing mice along delivery. After 36 days treatment these mice, nanoparticles greatly inhibited growth without causing any appreciable abnormality major organs. most important merit that nanoplatform biodegraded completely showed no toxic side effects after H&E (hematoxylin eosin) staining slices ICP-AES (inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry) bioanalyses.

The development of refractory tumor cells limits therapeutic efficacy in cancer by activating mechanisms that promote cellular proliferation, migration, invasion, metastasis, and survival. Benzimidazole anthelmintics have broad-spectrum action to remove parasites both human veterinary medicine. In addition being antiparasitic agents, benzimidazole are known exert anticancer activities, such as the disruption microtubule polymerization, induction apoptosis, cell cycle (G2/M) arrest, anti-angiogenesis, blockage glucose transport. These antitumorigenic effects even extend resistant approved therapies when combination with conventional therapeutics, enhance hold promise adjuvants. Above all, these may offer a broad, safe spectrum treat cancer, demonstrated their long history use agents. present review summarizes central literature regarding anthelmintics, including albendazole, parbendazole, fenbendazole, mebendazole, oxibendazole, oxfendazole, ricobendazole, flubendazole lines, animal models, clinical trials. This provides valuable information on how improve quality life patients cancers increasing treatment options decreasing side from therapy.

Among the severe side effects induced by cisplatin chemotherapy, muscle wasting is most relevant one. This effect a major cause for clinical decline of cancer patients, since it negative predictor treatment outcome and associated to increased mortality. However, despite its toxicity even at low doses, remains first-line therapy several types solid tumors. Thus, effective pharmacological treatments counteracting or minimizing cisplatin-induced are urgently needed. The dissection molecular pathways responsible dysfunction gives possibility identify novel promising therapeutic targets. In this context, use animal model cachexia very useful. Here, we report an update researches on mechanisms underlying potential options preserve mass function.

A novel cancer vaccine is developed by using Fe3O4 magnetic nanoclusters (MNCs) as the core and cell membranes decorated with anti-CD205 cloak. Because of superparamagnetism magnetization MNCs, it first achieved for retention in lymph nodes a resonance imaging (MRI) guide, which opened time window antigen uptake dendritic cells (DCs). Meanwhile, camouflaged serve reservoir various antigens, enabling subsequent multiantigenic response. Additionally, direct more into CD8+ DCs, facilitating major histocompatibility complex (MHC) I cross-presentation. These unique advantages together lead to great proliferation T superior clonal diversity cytotoxic activity. As result, potent prophylactic therapeutic effects few abnormalities are observed on five different tumor models. Therefore, such cancer-derived magnetosome integration recent nanotechnologies successfully demonstrates its promise safe high-performance vaccination.

Abstract The combination of Ca 2+ overload and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production for cancer therapy offers a superior solution to the lack specificity in traditional antitumor strategies. However, current therapeutic platforms this strategy are primarily based on non‐targeting nanomaterials, leading undesirable off‐target side effects. Additionally, resistance ROS apoptosis induced by hypoxic tumor microenvironment (TME) further limits efficiency. Herein, magnetic microrobot living Spirulina Platensis (SP), which is coated with double layer Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles (NPs) CaCO NPs. microrobots can accumulate regions under attraction, produces high‐Ca environment acidic TME facilitates ultrasound (US) stimulation. Meanwhile, sufficient (O 2 ) photosynthesis helps alleviate hypoxia promotes situ chlorophyll‐mediated photodynamic (PDT), coordinate induce cell apoptosis. With these unique properties, SP‐based offer promising microrobotics‐based accumulation production, contributing precise effective way treatment.
