Purpose:
An
increasing
proportion
of
the
aging
population
has
led
to
a
rapid
increase
in
number
elderly
patients
with
ulcerative
colitis
(UC).
However,
molecular
mechanisms
by
which
causes
UC
remain
unclear.
In
this
study,
we
explored
role
aging-related
genes
(ARGs)
pathogenesis
and
diagnosis
prediction.
Methods:
Gene
expression
data
were
obtained
from
four
independent
datasets
(GSE75214,
GSE87466,
GSE94648,
GSE169568)
GEO
database,
ARGs
derived
multiple
public
databases.
After
identifying
UC-related
ARGs,
consistent
clustering
was
performed
screen
subtypes,
followed
exploration
differences
immune
microenvironment
pathways
between
distinct
subtypes.
Next,
core
module
screened
using
WGCNA
then
hub
characterized
LASSO
random
forest
methods.
