Abstract Our aim is to present an updated overview of the erythrocyte metabolism highlighting its richness and complexity. We have manually collected connected available biochemical pathways integrated them into a functional metabolic map. The focus this map on main consisting glycolysis, pentose phosphate pathway, redox metabolism, oxygen purine/nucleoside membrane transport. Other recently emerging are also curated, like methionine salvage glyoxalase system, carnitine lands cycle, as well remnants carboxylic acid metabolism. An additional goal review dynamics providing key numbers used perform basic quantitative analyses. By synthesizing experimental computational data, we conclude that foundations Additionally, can sense levels oxidative stress adjusting mechanics, function. In conclusion, fine‐tuning controls one most important biological processes, is, loading, transport, delivery.

In recent years, special attention has been paid to the correlation between oxidation–reduction mechanisms and human health. The free radicals produced via physiological cellular biochemical processes are major contributors oxidation phenomena. Their instability is cause of damage. Free radical reactive oxygen species containing best-known ones. body neutralises harmful effects production endogenous antioxidants (superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione, melatonin). field study nutraucetics found antioxidant capacity in substances such as vitamins A, B, C, E, coenzyme Q-10, selenium, flavonoids, lipoic acid, carotenoids, lycopene contained some foods. There several areas investigation that aim research interaction species, exogenous antioxidants, microbiota promote increased protection peroxidation macromolecules (proteins, lipids) by maintaining a dynamic balance among make up microbiota. this scoping review, we map scientific literature on oxidative stress related oral microbiota, use natural counteract it, assess volume, nature, characteristics, type studies available date, suggest possible gaps will emerge from analysis.

The importance of redox systems as fundamental elements in biology is now widely recognized across diverse fields, from ecology to cellular biology. Their connection metabolism particularly significant, it plays a critical role energy regulation and distribution within organisms. Over recent decades, has emerged relevant focus studies biological regulation, especially following its recognition hallmark cancer. This shift broadened cancer research beyond strictly genetic perspectives. interaction between carcinogenesis involves the essential metabolic pathways, such glycolysis Krebs cycle, well involvement redox-active components like specific amino acids cofactors. feedback mechanisms linking highlight development patterns that enhance flexibility adaptability tumor processes, influencing larger-scale phenomena circadian rhythms epigenetics.

Identification of plant species is a crucial process in natural products. Ocimum, often referred to as the queen herbs, one most versatile and globally used medicinal herbs for various health benefits due it having wide variety pharmacological activities. Despite there being significant global demand this herb, rapid comprehensive metabolomic fingerprinting approaches species- variety-specific classification are limited. In study, five Ocimum (Ocimum basilicum L., sanctum africanum Lour., kilimandscharicum Gurke., Hybrid Tulsi) their varieties was performed using LC-MS, GC-MS, approach FT-NIR combined with chemometrics. The aim distinguish variation view toward developing quality assessment species. Discrimination achieved principal component analysis (PCA), partial least squares discriminate (PLS-DA), data-driven soft independent modelling class analogy (DD-SIMCA), random forest, K-nearest neighbours specificity 98% sensitivity 99%. Phenolics flavonoids were found be major contributing markers species-specific variation. present study established consisting screening confirmatory highly efficient means identify able applied other herbs.

Preclinical models suggest mitochondria-derived oxidative stress as an underlying cause of insulin resistance. However, it remains unknown whether this pathophysiological mechanism is conserved in humans. Here, we used invasive vivo mechanistic approach to interrogate muscle action while selectively manipulating the mitochondrial redox state To end, conducted clamp studies combining intravenous infusion a lipid overload with intake mitochondria-targeted antioxidant (mitoquinone). Under overload, selective modulation by mitoquinone enhanced insulin-stimulated glucose uptake skeletal muscle. Mechanistically, did not affect canonical signaling but augmented transporter type 4 (GLUT4) translocation reducing burden under oversupply. Complementary ex human fibers exposed high intracellular levels revealed that improves features bioenergetics, including diminished H 2 O emission. These findings provide translational and evidence implicating oxidants development lipid-induced resistance
