With the success of several clinical trials products based on human serum albumin (HSA) and rapid development nanotechnology, HSA-based nanodrug delivery systems (HBNDSs) have received extensive attention in field nanomedicine. However, there is still a lack comprehensive reviews exploring broader scope HBNDSs biomedical applications beyond cancer therapy. To address this gap, review takes systematic approach. Firstly, it focuses crystal structure potential binding sites HSA. Additionally, provides summary recent progresses for various over past five years, categorized according to type therapeutic drugs loaded onto These categories include small-molecule drugs, inorganic materials bioactive ingredients. Finally, summarizes characteristics current application status drug delivery, also discusses challenges that need be addressed transformation HSA formulations offers future perspectives field.

Physical functioning refers to the ability perform daily living activities, namely basic instrumental, and advanced activities. Poorer performance in these areas may indicate potential presence of sarcopenia. To analyze differences physical function between older people with without sarcopenia investigate associations tests A cross-sectional study based on data from Northern region Brazil year 2018 was conducted. Study participants included 312 aged ≥ 60 years (64.1% female). Sarcopenia defined using updated criteria European Working Group Older People (EWGSOP2). measured functional fitness (30-second chair stand test, sit-and-reach 8-foot Up-and-Go Test, 6-minute walk 4-meter gait speed, Fullerton Advanced Balance Scale). Confirmed detected 29.2% participants, but no participant had severe Most parameters crude analysis were associated confirmed (all p < 0.05), except for back scratch test. In a model adjusted sex, age body mass index, slower speed (OR = 1.29, 95%CI 1.08 1.54), up-and-go test time 1.32, 1.16 1.49), greater 0.97, 0.94 0.99) higher self-reported Composite Function scores 0.94, 0.89 significantly status. EWGSOP2 is prevalent residing Brazil's independently walking rising ability, reduced trunk lower-limb flexibility, as well poorer function.

Abstract: This article focuses on a range of non-pharmacological strategies for managing sarcopenia in chronic diseases, including exercise, dietary supplements, traditional Chinese intestinal microecology, and rehabilitation therapies individuals with limited limb movement. By analyzing multiple studies, the aims to summarize available evidence manage diseases. The results strongly emphasize role resistance training addressing diseases secondary sarcopenia. Maintaining appropriate frequency intensity can help prevent muscle atrophy effectively reduce inflammation. Although aerobic exercise has ability improve skeletal mass, it does have some positive effects physical function. Building upon this, explores potential benefits combined approaches, highlighting their helpfulness overall quality life. Additionally, also highlights importance supplements combating It protein intake, rich essential amino acids omega-3, as well sufficient vitamin D atrophy. Combining appears be an effective strategy preventing sarcopenia, although optimal dosage type supplement remain unclear. Furthermore, microecology Probiotics, prebiotics, bacterial products are suggested new treatment options emerging such whole body vibration training, blood flow restriction, electrical stimulation show promise treating Overall, this provides valuable insights into emphasizes holistic integrated approach that incorporates nutrition, multidisciplinary interventions, which promote health elderly population. Future research should prioritize high-quality randomized controlled trials utilize wearable devices, smartphone applications, other advanced surveillance methods investigate most intervention associated different Keywords: disease, inflammation

Abstract Background This study aimed to explore the prevalence and related risk factors of sarcopenia in patients on maintenance hemodialysis (MHD). Methods cohort enrolled 165 MHD. The were divided into non-sarcopenia groups based presence or not. Sarcopenia was diagnosed according consensus Asian Working Group that considers reduced muscle mass decreased strength (19). measured using multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance (Inbody260) skeletal index (SMI) used: <7.0 kg/m 2 (male); <5.7 (female) - with reduction. electronic grip dynamometer used for measuring dominant handgrip (HGS) reflect strength. Male HGS < 28 kg female 18 considered a decrease demographic characteristics, laboratory indexes, anthropometrical measurements, body compositions, InBody score compared between groups. multivariate logistic regression sarcopenia. Results Of MHD, 36 had sarcopenia, 21.82%. Patients group higher ages lower index, serum albumin level, circumference waist, hip, biceps, strength, total water content, protein inorganic salt concentrations, mass, basal metabolic rate, obesity degree, SMI, fat content. showed age, waist circumference, influencing hemodialysis. Conclusion high Higher independent such patients.
