Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and its related lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) are commonly observed among aging males have a substantial effect on quality of life. Metabolic syndrome, with specific focus obesity, is believed to play role in the development BPH. This study intends explore relationship between several obesity-related metrics, including Chinese Visceral Adiposity Index (CVAI), LUTS/BPH within national cohort men. Data from China Health Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) 2015 were analyzed, encompassing sample 5,735 male participants aged 45 older. Eight indices—namely Body mass index (BMI), Waist-height ratio (WHtR), Triglyceride-glucose.BMI (TyG.BMI), TyG. Introduction Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a leading cause of chronic worldwide, with fibrosis (LF) being crucial pathological feature in the progression NAFLD. Cardio-kidney-metabolic diseases are major causes of premature death worldwide, with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) playing a critical role. Inflammation and insulin resistance have been implicated in the pathogenesis T2DM. Background Previous research has shown a correlation between high visceral fat levels and hyperuricemia incidence. The Chinese Visceral Adiposity Index (CVAI) assessed status in the population. Our study investigates CVAI asymptomatic type 2 diabetes patients. Numerous studies have investigated the effect of an integrated index that combines triglyceride‒glucose (TyG) with various obesity indicators on stroke incidence. However, how to use TyG and Chinese Visceral Adiposity Index (CVAI) for prevention remains unclear. This study examined associations between dynamic changes in TyG-CVAI cumulative, baseline, new-onset risk. Background The associations of waist circumference (WC), body mass index (BMI), lipid accumulation product (LAP), Chinese visceral adiposity (CVAI), and triglyceride-glucose Index (TyG) with the risk type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) remained uncertain in middle-aged elderly hypertensive patients. Methods A total 1,965 participants aged 45 years were included cross-sectional analysis, 1,576 without T2DM for cohort analysis.
