Introduction The groundwater in arid countries such as Egypt represent the main water resources desert regions due to long distance between these (oasis) and Nile River. Contamination of limited with toxic metals threaten health individuals regions. Methods current study integrates isotopic tracers, hydrogeochemistry, geophysical logs, positive matrix factorization (PMF model), Monte Carlo (MCS) simulation for pollution source apportionment risks associated heavy Nubian Sandstone aquifer (NSSA). Results Discussion resource used drinking purposes (NSSA) is pale meteoric (non-rechargeable aquifer). Silicate weathering, old trapped sea water, reverse ion exchange evaporation, dissolution are dominant mechanisms controlling chemistry. PMF model showed that major ions NSSA originated from four significant sources (anthropogenic activities, minerals, iron-bearing mixing seawater, hydrothermal water). total risk (HI) oral values highlighted non-carcinogenic dangers adults children through exposure. At same time, dermal contact posed a no high children. Heavy metal contamination in water sources is a major environmental and public health concern, necessitating advanced analytical techniques for effective assessment mitigation. This study systematically reviews chemometric approaches used to evaluate heavy pollution, focusing on pollution indices, multivariate statistical techniques, risk models. The methodology involved an extensive review of peer-reviewed literature from databases such as Elsevier, Springer, MDPI, with inclusion criteria emphasizing studies contamination, evaluation, applications quality analysis. Findings indicate that metals lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), arsenic (As) are prevalent contaminants, levels varying across regions. Soil moisture plays a significant role in the global hydrological cycle field of agriculture, environment science, urban planning and construction, forestry many more. can be determined using various approaches, however some limitations these approaches are longer time duration, labor intensive, require installation maintenance, expensive, lower resolution, etc. This research work proposes soil detection method which is portable, economic efficient. Spectroscopic sensor enables rapid estimation photodiodes varying sensitivities wavelengths across broad spectrum light, allowing precise identification analysis samples based on their unique spectral fingerprints. In this study, relation between output data percentage value obtained from gravimetric has been established. Using regression methods, highest correlation coefficient was found case polynomial function order 3. Residual values all were then calculated by comparing with expected function. Result showed that 705 nanometers (nm) wavelength least residual value, thus signifying equation 3 at nm perfectly demonstrates reading.
