Synthesis of new functionalized methyl-substituted bicyclo[1.1.1]pentanes for medicinal chemistry is presented. All the products were obtained in multigram quantities with decent yields. The synthetic approaches reported are facile and scalable. We hope that this work will help process chemists at pharmaceutical companies preparation bioactive suggested by clinical trials.

Alkyl azetidines have been prepared by photochemical modifications of azetidine-2-carboxylic acids in batch and flow. The reaction has realized milligram, gram, even multigram quantities. obtained are valuable building blocks for drug discovery.
