Eugenol, a common phenylpropanoid derivative found in different plant species, has well-described anti-inflammatory effects associated with the development of occupational hypersensitive asthma. Dehydrodieugenol, dimeric eugenol derivative, exhibits and antioxidant activities can be Brazilian species Nectandra leucantha (Lauraceae). The biological dehydrodieugenol on lung inflammation remain unclear. This study aimed to investigate isolated from N. an experimental model In present work, toxic RAW 264.7 cells their oxidant inflammatory before lipopolysaccharide (LPS) exposure were tested. Then, male BALB/c mice sensitized ovalbumin through 29-day protocol treated vehicle, eugenol, or dexamethasone for eight days beginning 22nd day until end protocol. Lung function; profile; protein expression ERK1/2, JNK, p38, VAChT, STAT3, SOCS3 evaluated by immunoblotting. Eugenol nontoxic cells. Both compounds inhibited NO release gene IL-1β IL-6 LPS-stimulated OVA-sensitized animals, reduced cell numbers concentrations IL-4, IL-13, IL-17, IL-10. These inhibition p38 VAChT STAT3/SOCS3 pathways. Moreover, treatment effectively attenuated airway hyperresponsiveness. Conclusion: obtained data demonstrate, first time, that was more effective than counteracting allergic mice, especially its components MAPK pathway. Therefore, considered prototype new agents asthmatic patients.

Flavonols are compounds that have been shown to possess potent anti‑inflammatory effects in cellular and animal models of inflammation. In the present study, mechanisms two natural flavonols, quercetin galangin, lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‑stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages were investigated. It was identified galangin markedly reduced production nitric oxide (NO), inducible NO synthase interleukin‑6, nuclear translocation factor‑κB (NF‑κB). addition, LPS‑induced activation extracellular signal‑regulated kinase 1/2 (Erk1/2) c‑Jun N‑terminal (JNK) suppressed by galangin. Taken together, these data implied NF‑κB, Erk1/2 JNK may be potential molecular targets an inflammatory response. Subsequently, oral administration or either alone combination, a 2,4‑dinitrochlorobenzene‑induced atopic dermatitis (AD) mouse model As result, measurements ear thickness levels serum immunoglobulin E, histological analysis revealed flavonols led decrease inflammation, whereas, they even more effective. These results suggested promising therapeutic agents for AD. Additionally, their combination novel strategy prevention

Oxidative stress is defined as the imbalance between reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and endogenous antioxidant defense system, leading to cellular damage. Asthma a common chronic inflammatory airway disease. The presence of asthma tends increase (ROS), system in lungs insufficient mitigate it. Therefore, can lead an exacerbation hyperresponsiveness inflammation. PM2.5 exposure increases ROS levels. Meanwhile, accumulation will further enhance oxidative response, resulting DNA, protein, lipid, other molecular damage, respiratory diseases. An in-depth study on relationship PM2.5-related helpful understand pathogenesis progression disease provides new direction for treatment This paper reviews research progress PM2.5-induced well highlights therapeutic potentials approaches asthma.

Abstract: Allergic asthma has a global prevalence, morbidity, and mortality. Many environmental factors, such as pollutants allergens, are highly relevant to allergic asthma. The most important pathological symptom of is airway inflammation. Accordingly, the unique role reactive oxygen species (ROS) had been identified main reason for this respiratory studies have shown that inhalation different allergens can promote ROS generation. Recent demonstrated several pro-inflammatory mediators responsible development Among these mediators, endogenous or exogenous inflammation Furthermore, inflammatory cells induce development. Airway inflammation, hyper-responsiveness, tissue injury, remodeling be induced by excessive production in animal models. Based on investigations formation mechanisms, we novel anti-inflammatory therapeutic treatments. This review describes recent data linking pathogenesis

Abstract Galangin is an important flavonoid with natural activity, that abundant in galangal and propolis. Currently, various biological activities of galangin have been disclosed, including anti‐inflammation, antibacterial effect, anti‐oxidative stress aging, anti‐fibrosis, antihypertensive effect. Based on the above bioactivities, more attention has paid to role neurodegenerative diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, skin cancer. In this paper, sources, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic potential against diseases were systematically reviewed by collecting summarizing relevant literature. addition, molecular mechanism new preparation treatment related are also discussed, broaden application prospect provide reference for its clinical application. Furthermore, it should be noted current toxicity studies insufficient, evidence needed support possibility as a functional food.

Asthma is one of the most common inflammatory diseases characterized by airway hyperresponsiveness, inflammation, and remodeling. Morin, an active ingredient obtained from Moraceae plants, has been demonstrated to have promising anti‐inflammatory activities in a range disorders. However, its impacts on pulmonary diseases, particularly asthma, not clarified. This study was designed investigate whether morin alleviates inflammation chronic asthma with emphasis oxidative stress modulation. In vivo , ovalbumin‐ (OVA‐) sensitized mice were administered or dexamethasone before challenge. Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) lung tissues perform cell counts, histological analysis, enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay. vitro human bronchial epithelial cells (BECs) challenged tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF‐ α ). The supernatant collected for detection proinflammatory proteins, reactive oxygen species (ROS)/mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK) evaluations. Severe responses remodeling observed airways OVA‐sensitized mice. Treatment dramatically attenuated extensive trafficking into BALF inhibited their infiltration around respiratory tracts vessels. Morin administration also significantly suppressed goblet hyperplasia collagen deposition/fibrosis dose‐dependently OVA‐induced increases IgE, TNF‐ interleukin‐ (IL‐) 4, IL‐13, matrix metalloproteinase‐9, malondialdehyde. BECs levels proteins such as eotaxin‐1, monocyte chemoattractant protein‐1, IL‐8 intercellular adhesion molecule‐1, consistently decreased morin. Western blotting 2′,7′‐dichlorofluorescein assay revealed that intracellular ROS MAPK phosphorylation abolished morin, implying ROS/MAPK signaling contributes relief inflammation. Our findings indicate first time which probably occurs via stress‐responsive pathway, highlighting novel profile potent agent management.

Asthma, a disease classified as chronic inflammatory disorder induced by airway inflammation, is triggered genetic predisposition or antigen sensitization. Drugs currently used therapies present disadvantages such high cost and side effects, which compromise the treatment compliance. Alternatively, traditional medicine has reported use of natural products alternative complementary treatment. The aim this review was to summarize knowledge in literature about for asthma search strategy included scientific studies published between January 2006 December 2017, using keywords "asthma," "treatment," "natural products." inclusion criteria were follows: (i) that aimed at elucidating antiasthmatic activity natural-based compounds extracts laboratory experiments (in vitro and/or vivo); (ii) suggested elucidation its chemical composition. Studies did not report experimental data manuscripts languages other than English excluded. Based on findings from search, aspects related physiopathology, epidemiology, conventional discussed. Then, several reporting effectiveness presented, highlighting plants main source. Moreover, animals microorganisms also discussed their potential therapy emphasized. This highlighted importance an source treatment, since they reduced effects comparable drugs protocols.
