has

anti-inflammatory
effects
associated
with
the

of
occupational
hypersensitive
asthma.

Flavonols
are
compounds
that
have
been
shown
to
possess
potent
anti‑inflammatory
effects
in
cellular

animal
models

Abstract:
Allergic
asthma
has
a
global
prevalence,
morbidity,
and
mortality.
Many
environmental
factors,
such
as
pollutants
allergens,
are
highly
relevant
to
allergic
asthma.
The

Accordingly,
the

Abstract
Galangin
is
an
important
flavonoid
with
natural
activity,
that
abundant
in
galangal
and
propolis.
Currently,
various
biological
activities
of
galangin
have
been
disclosed,
including
anti‐inflammation,
antibacterial
effect,
anti‐oxidative
stress
aging,
anti‐fibrosis,
antihypertensive
effect.
Based
on
the
above
bioactivities,
more
attention
has
paid
to
role
neurodegenerative
diseases,
rheumatoid
arthritis,
osteoarthritis,
osteoporosis,
skin
cancer.
In
this
paper,
sources,
pharmacokinetics,
therapeutic
potential
against
diseases
were
systematically
reviewed
by
collecting
summarizing
relevant
literature.

molecular
mechanism

plants,
has

have

anti‐inflammatory
activities
in

on
pulmonary
diseases,

asthma,

clarified.
This
study
was
designed
investigate
whether
morin
alleviates
inflammation
chronic
asthma
with
emphasis
oxidative
stress
modulation.

ovalbumin‐
(OVA‐)
sensitized
mice
were
administered

dexamethasone

challenge.

English
excluded.

on
findings
from
search,
aspects

physiopathology,
epidemiology,
conventional
discussed.
Then,
several
reporting
effectiveness
presented,
highlighting
plants
main
source.
Moreover,
animals
microorganisms
also
discussed
their
potential
therapy
emphasized.
This
highlighted
importance
an
source
treatment,
since
they
reduced
effects
comparable
drugs
protocols.
