Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have been gaining substantial attention over the past decade due to their developing crystalline porous polymeric nature linked by strong covalent bonds and widespread applications in various fields. Currently, three-dimensional COFs (3D COFs) are engaging spotlight distinctive features, greater surface area, exceptional performances comparison with formerly published two-dimensional (2D) AA-stacking layered mode. In this paper, we present, for first time, a nanoporous 3D-COF-based zinc(II) catalyst (Zn@RIO-1), which shows an efficient pathway chemical conversion of carbon dioxide produce α-alkylidene cyclic carbonates oxazolidinones from propargylic alcohols. The microporous material high area (312.61 m2/g) facilitates both types catalytic reactions under atmospheric CO2 pressure. More importantly, easily recyclable reusable catalysts produced moderate yields desired as well oxazolidinone products solvent-free conditions. This study emphasizes capability catalysis field, more specifically field capture fixation fine chemicals. These results pave spectacular into alcohols using 3D-COF potential heterogeneous ligand sustainable conditions (i.e., solvent-free).

Abstract The synthesis of important organic chemicals through sustainable and green methods is always demanding for the scientific community. Fixation carbon dioxide this purpose very attractive as CO 2 non‐toxic, easily available, naturally abundant, recyclable, non‐flammable an inexpensive C1 resource, also concentration (most responsible greenhouse gas) reduced. This article demonstrates silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) by eco‐friendly method incorporation particles into a covalent framework in order to obtain heterogeneous catalyst, AgN@COF. catalyst has been characterized detail FT‐IR,UV‐Vis. spectroscopy, FE‐SEM, TEM, EDAX, XPS, PXRD, ICP‐AES, TG‐DTA N absorption‐desorption studies. synthesized able fix terminal propargylic amine alcohol production 2‐oxazolidinones α ‐alkylidene cyclic carbonates, respectively, two different catalytic pathways. In both protocols, one atmospheric was used. Production carbonates occurred at room temperature solvent‐free condition, were obtained under mild reaction conditions. Moreover, recyclable reusable. Its efficacy preserved even after use six consecutive cycles.
