Abstract
Inkless
and
erasable
printing
(IEP)
based
on
chromic
materials
holds
great
promise
to
alleviate
environmental
sustainable
problems.
Metal–organic
polymers
(MOPs)
are
bright
platforms
for
constructing
IEP
materials.
However,
it
is
still
challenging
design
target
MOPs
with
excellent
specific
functions
rationally
due
the
intricate
component‐structure‐property
relationships.
Herein,
an
effective
strategy
was
proposed
rational
IEP‐MOP
The
stimuli‐responsive
viologen
moiety
introduced
into
construction
of
give
potential
behaviors
two
different
coordination
models
(i.
e.
bilateral
model,
M
1
;
unilateral
coordinated
2
)
same
ligand
were
designed.
Aided
by
theoretical
calculations,
model
recommended
secondarily
as
a
more
suitable
system
Along
this
line,
representative
viologen‐Zn
II
synthesized
successfully.
Experiments
exhibit
that

quicker
stimuli
response,
stronger
color
contrast

radical
lifetime
compared
.
Significantly,

in

smart
device.

Among
the
recent
developments
in
metal-organic
frameworks
(MOFs),
porous
layered
coordination
polymers
(CPs)
have
garnered
attention
due
to
their
modular
nature

tunable
structures.

enable

gas

sorption,
storage
separation
gases
small
molecules,
catalysis,
luminescence,
sensing,
magnetism,
energy
conversion.
MOFs,
two-dimensional
(2D)
compounds
are

known
as
2D
CPs
or
MOFs.
Since
discovery
graphene
2004,
materials
been
widely
studied.
Several
MOFs
suitable
for
exfoliation
ultrathin
nanosheets

other
materials,
making

structures
useful

technological
applications.

Exploitation

photomagnetism

single-molecule
magnet
(SMM)

applications

optical
switches

(QDU-1;

Gd
(QDU-1(Gd)),
Y
(QDU-1(Y));
HEDP
hydroxyethylidene
diphosphonate;
TPT
2,4,6-tri(4-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine)
were
synthesized
by
solvothermal
reactions.
All
compounds
exhibited
reversible
photochromic
photomagnetic
behaviors
via
UV
light
irradiation
at
RT,
induced
photogenerated
radicals
photoinduced
electron
transfer
(PET)
mechanism.
More
importantly,
PET
process
significant
variations
interactions
for
Dy(III)
congener.
Strong
ferromagnetic
coupling
with
remarkably
slow
relaxation
without
applied
dc
fields
was
observed
between
DyIII
ions
O•
radicals,
showing
SMM
after
RT
illumination.
For
first
time,
we
lanthanide-based
materials.
This
work
realized
radicals-actuated
on/off
irradiation,
providing
strategy
constructing
light-induced
SMMs.

(RTP)
emission

yellow
afterglow
when
turning
off
UV
lamp.
In
addition,
Eu(III)-functionalized
hybrids,
Eu3+@Zn-MOF,
were
prepared
by
coordinated
postsynthetic
modification
based
on
viologen
complexes
sample
Eu3+@Zn-MOF
inherits
characteristics
gives
distinctive
europium
ions.
Based
multicolor
switching
possible
practical
utilization
was
developed
in
fields
inkless,
erasable
print
media,
electrochromic
information
tag
printing,
encryption,
anticounterfeiting.

Inkless

printing

technology
has
received
intense
attention
in
reducing
paper
waste
environmental
hazards
caused
by
the
use
of
large

ink.

high-resolution
inkless
for
practical
applications
remains
huge
challenge.
Herein,
metal-organic
framework
(MOF)
been
synthesized,
which
exhibits
reversible
photochromic
behavior.
None
unpaired
electrons
metal
ions
unique
three-dimensional
network
hinder
electron
transfer
between
ligands
nodes,
well
themselves,
are
conducive
to
prolonging
photo-generated
color
lifetime
suitable
printing.
By
virtue
proper
lifetime,
strong
contrast
before
after
light
irradiation,
transformation,
content
can
be
achieved
irradiation.
Notably,
coated
with
this
MOF
used
not
only
simple
patterns
such
pictures
but
also
even
texts
applications,
surpassing
other
materials
printing,
almost
comparable
ink
laser
terms
practicality
resolution.

cycles
without
significant
deterioration.

photochromism

UV
light.

exhibits
excellent
pH
tolerance
can

as
an
fluorescent
probe

work
