Hypochlorite (ClO–), as a type of reactive oxygen species (ROS), plays crucial role in the process oxidative stress and is closely related to many diseases. In recent years, with preparation, functional modification, improvement of lanthanide materials, great progress has been made in application biomedical field. This review focuses on latest tumor diagnosis treatment, as well interaction mechanism between biological tissues. We introduce a set efficient strategies for improving properties discuss some representative in-depth research work detail, showcasing superiority early detection ultra-small tumors, phototherapy, real-time guidance surgical resection. Luminescent molecule-based bioimaging system is widely used for precise localization and distinction of cancer/tumor cells. lanthanide (Ln(III)) complexes offer long-lived (sub-millisecond time scale) sharp (FWHM <10 nm) emission, arising from the forbidden 4f-4f electronic transitions. Ln(III) complex-based has emerged as a promising option both in vitro vivo visualizations. In this mini-review, historical development recent significant progress luminescent probes bioapplications are introduced. The studies mainly focused on three points: (i) structural modifications macrocyclic small ligands, (ii) acquirement high resolution luminescence images cells (iii) constructions ratiometric biosensors. Furthermore, our study explained new Cancer GPS (cancer grade probing determining tumor through photophysical property analyses intracellular Eu(III) complex.

Abstract We report here the development of clickable and highly near‐infrared (NIR) fluorescent lanthanide (Ln) complexes for bioorthogonal labeling biomolecules. These azide‐ or alkyne‐functionalized Ln are hydrophilic fluorogenic, exhibiting a strong increase NIR fluorescence upon conjugation with Metabolic biomolecules azide alkyne, followed by click complexes, enables (NIRF) imaging DNA, RNA, proteins, glycans in cells. Furthermore, multicolor is performed combining click‐labeling immunostaining. In addition, compatible click‐expansion microscopy (click‐ExM), which high‐resolution NIRF cellular glycoproteins. Finally, can be used time‐of‐flight secondary‐ion mass spectrometry (ToF‐SIMS) imaging, thus achieving first example dual‐modal SIMS microscopies.
