Abstract Rapid growth in nanoparticles (NPs) as delivery systems holds vast promise to promote therapeutic approaches for cancer treatment. Presently, a diverse array of NPs with unique properties have been developed overcome different challenges and achieve sophisticated routes enhancement series therapies. Inspiring advances achieved the field therapy using NPs. In this review, we aim summarize up‐to‐date progression addressing various challenges, expect elicit novel potential opportunities alternatively. We first introduce sorts NP technologies, illustrate their mechanisms, present applications. Abstract Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) are a new variety of solid crystalline porous functional materials. As an extension inorganic materials, it has made important progress in preparation and application. MOFs widely used various fields such as gas adsorption storage, drug delivery, sensing, biological imaging due to their high specific surface area, porosity, adjustable pore size, abundant active sites, modification by introducing groups. The tumor microenvironment (TME) is a complex and dynamic ecosystem that plays critical role in cancer progression. It comprises various cell types, including immune cells, stromal cells. Among these, cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) represent heterogeneous population with diverse origins, phenotypes, functions. Activated CAFs secrete multiple factors promote growth, migration, angiogenesis, contribute to chemoresistance. Additionally, extracellular matrix (ECM) components, such as collagen, which form physical barrier hinders the penetration of chemotherapeutic immunotherapeutic agents.
