Atmospheric chemistry research has been growing rapidly in China the last 25 years since concept of "air pollution complex" was first proposed by Professor Xiaoyan TANG 1997. For papers published 2021 on air (only included Web Science Core Collection database were considered), more than 24 000 authored or co-authored scientists working China. In this paper, we review a limited number representative and significant studies atmospheric few years, including (1) sources emission inventories, (2) chemical processes, (3) interactions with meteorology, weather climate, (4) between biosphere atmosphere, (5) data assimilation. The intention not to provide complete all progress made but rather serve as starting point for learning about advances reviewed paper have enabled theoretical framework complex be established, provided robust scientific support highly successful control policies China, created great opportunities education, training, career development many graduate students young scientists. Abstract Gastric cancer (GC), notorious for its poor prognosis, often advances to peritoneal dissemination, a crucial determinant of detrimental outcomes. This study intricately explores the role TGFβ-Smad-LIF axis within tumor microenvironment in propagating metastasis, with specific emphasis on molecular mechanism instigating Neutrophil Extracellular Traps (NETs) formation and encouraging GC cellular functions. Through blend bioinformatics analyses, utilizing TCGA GEO databases, meticulous vivo vitro experiments, LIF was identified as pivotally associated notably, enhancing NETs through neutrophil stimulation. The oxidation of alkyl-substituted aromatic molecules produces oxygenated volatile organic compounds (OVOCs) and secondary aerosols (SOA) that are major components ambient urban air. Despite their ubiquity, the impacts variable conditions, such as relative humidity (RH) actinic exposure, on physicochemical processes contribute to SOA formation still subject ongoing research refinement. In this work, we perform laboratory environmental chamber experiments use an I– FIGAERO–CIMS examine molecular composition high-NOx ethylbenzene products in response varied (dry 40% RH, 60% RH) during either dark aging or photoaging (with ∼354 nm UV-A lights). Biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOCs) emitted by plants contribute to secondary air pollution through photochemical reactions in sunlight. Due the influence of multiple factors, accurately characterizing and quantifying emission BVOCs from plant sources is challenging, which poses significant obstacles effective management control BVOCs. Therefore, this paper summarizes mechanisms plants, explores primary factors influencing variations rates these compounds, evaluates advantages limitations contemporary "measurement-modeling" methods for BVOC emissions. It concluded that current measurement techniques still need be further developed meet criteria simplicity, affordability, high precision simultaneously, terms modeling prediction studies, there a lack in-depth research on atmospheric chemistry synergistic effects factors. Finally, it suggested leverage interdisciplinary strengths develop advanced technologies high-resolution models monitoring compounds. Additionally, strategically selecting low-BVOC tree species pollution-vulnerable urban areas-contingent rigorous ecological assessments-combined with stringent controls anthropogenic precursors (e.g., (AVOCs)) could serve as complementary measure mitigate pollution.

Airborne volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and semi-volatile (SVOCs) are commonly quantitated by collecting the analytes on solid sorbent tubes or passive air samplers, followed solvent extraction instrumental analysis, grab bag/canister measurements. We report herein a user-friendly sampling method breathing through polyurethane foam (PUF) face masks to collect airborne VOCs SVOCs for chemical analysis. Specifically, dibasic esters, phthalate polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, linalool, nicotine trapped PUF were gas chromatography–mass spectrometry analysis as model SVOCs. Results showed that amount of these is proportional exposure duration. After cross-validation parallel using XAD-2 packed tubes, was used quantitate in variety indoor outdoor environments with varying concentrations analytes, temperature, humidity, wind speed. Because pollution considered major cause many human diseases premature deaths developed mask high trapping efficiencies both SVOCs, it believed will find wide application assessing pollution-associated disease risks possible extension more classes when coupled suitable detection methods.
