Bioactive

bioavailability
largely

applications.
Although
a
variety
of
nontoxic
ingredients
been
rapidly
developed
as
vehicles
deliver
bioactive
in
the
last
few
years,
most
them
are
non-bioactive.
Pentacyclic
triterpenoids,
owing
unique
self-assembly
co-assembly
behaviors
different
physiological
functions,
can
construct
carriers
due
higher
biodegradability,
biocompatibility
lower
toxicity.
In
this
paper,
basic
classification,
biological
activities
physicochemical
properties

were
summarized.

Rheumatoid

The

among

risk
factors.
Currently,
treatment
depends
on
anti-inflammatory

preventing
or
slowing
down
damage
progression.
However,
these
are
severe
side
effects
upon
long-term
use,
including
immunosuppression

Natural
products,

properties,
shown
relevant
anti-arthritic
activity
in
several
animal
models
without
undesirable
effects.
Therefore,
this
review
covers
recent
studies
(2017-2022)
safe
promising
drug
candidates
for
RA.
These
bioactive
compounds
were
able
produce
reduction
indices
immunological
markers.

treatment.
