Abstract The study investigates the effects of graphene oxide/zinc oxide (GO‐ZnO) nanohybrids, combined with Mentha longifolia essential oil, on mechanical, UV resistance, antibacterial, and rheological properties polylactic acid (PLA). GO‐ZnO nanohybrids were prepared at ZnO‐to‐GO ratios 1:1 2:1 incorporated into PLA various concentrations. addition significantly enhanced tensile strength modulus composites due to strong interactions between functionalized nanohybrids. Hydrolytic degradation tests revealed accelerated GO‐ZnO, attributed catalytic ZnO. Rheological analysis showed reduced elasticity higher nanohybrid content, thermal degradation. absorption demonstrated improved protection oil. Antibacterial indicated inhibition percentages against E. coli Listeria , highlighting a synergistic antibacterial effect hybrid system. Multiblock copolymers (MBCPs) comprising polyester and polyacrylate segments offer an efficient strategy for enhancing the performance of polyolefin blends but synthesis structural modification these MBCPs remains challenging. Here, we propose a method synthesizing via switchable polymerization epoxides, cyclic anhydrides, acrylates using dinuclear Co-complex, wherein anhydride acts as switcher. Detailed studies on copolymerization process reveal that successful is achieved by intramolecular bimetallic synergistic catalysis, producing with controlled molecular weights narrow dispersities. Owing to high compatibility monomers, this allows diverse structures block numbers. Moreover, resulting effectively enhance blends, improving toughness polyesters. Studies microphase separation show can compatibilize immiscible highlighting their potential compatibilizers.

Biodegradable plastics (BPs) are promoted as eco-friendly alternatives to conventional plastics. However, compared microplastics (MPs), they degrade rapidly into biodegradable (BMPs), which may lead a more significant accumulation of BMPs in the environment. This review systematically compares and MPs, summarizes current knowledge on their environmental behaviors impacts ecosystems human health, offers recommendations for future research. detected water, sediments, indoor dust, food, marine organisms, samples. Soil-release polymers (SRPs) are important components of fabric care formulations, performing roles in the cleaning synthetic fabrics. SRPs modify surface textiles and render materials resistant to staining, while offering environmental benefits by enabling effective using shorter, cooler wash cycles. Most used formulations contain petroleum-sourced terephthalic acid, limiting presented use these key additives. Here, we have prepared a selection pyridine dicarboxylate monomers that can be accessed from biomass assessed their ability polyester surfaces. Interestingly, wide range deposition behavior was observed, with soil-release performance significantly impacted component use. The containing 2,5-pyridine units exceeded or comparable current industry-standard SRPs, constructed 2,4- 2,6-pyridine displayed poor performance.
