The photo-activated thermo/gas antimicrobial nanocomposite hydrogel, Gel/PDA@BNN6, is composed of the nitric oxide (NO) carrier N, N'-di-sec-butyl-N, N'-dinitroso-p-phenylenediamine (BNN6), photothermal (PTT) material polydopamine nanoparticles (PDA NPs), and methacrylate gelatin (GelMA). This hydrogel can release NO gas in a stable controlled manner, generating localized effect when exposed to near-infrared laser light. dual action promotes healing full-thickness skin wounds that are infected.

Inclusion complexation of the sunscreen ingredient avobenzone (AVB) with β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) was investigated to improve its aqueous solubility and photostability; another ultraviolet (UV) filter, oxybenzone (OXB), phytochemical antioxidant curcumin (CUR) served as a comparison. In this study, 1-octanol/water partition coefficients, acid dissociation constants, phase-solubility diagrams β-CD, ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) spectral changes induced by UVA1 (365 nm) irradiation were evaluated. β-CD at concentrations 50–100 times that AVB most effectively protected photostability AVB. Additionally, an UVA1-insensitive species diketo tautomer, which has UVC-absorbing band potential cause photodegradation, stored in inclusion complex. Acetonitrile–water mixtures various volume ratios screened mimic internal cavity for tautomeric using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) integrals components. The results indicated provides hydrophobic environment similar 40–50% acetonitrile solution enhances However, excess hyperchromic effect on tautomer. Aggregation AVB/β-CD complexes ≥2 mM UVC absorption. To avoid molar ratio is recommended optimal composition. This study newly exhibited mitigates reactivity toward inducing tautomer form within cavity.

ABSTRACT Jackfruit seeds are rich in starch and can be used as an alternative source of the polymer. Starch nanocrystals act a carrier to improve curcumin's anti‐cancer effect. This study evaluated modified jackfruit carriers for delivering curcumin MCF‐7 breast cancer cell lines. Nanocrystals were prepared by acid hydrolysis carboxymethylation thiolation. The forms characterized scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, drug loading, mucoadhesion, toxicity. Curcumin‐loaded starches vitro release cytotoxicity on cells. had average particle size 6.15 ± 0.80 nm, with altered morphology after modification. starch's crystallinity (27.18%) increased (37.54%) thiolation (41.37%) but decreased (23.29%). highest loading (70.23% 0.23%) was recorded carboxymethylated nanocrystals, then thiolated (63.37% 0.40%), lowest (49.31% 0.13%) native starch. Mucoadhesion improved thiolation, curcumin‐loaded produced IC 50 value (42.5 0.12 µm/mL) lower than plain (86.80 0.10 µm/mL). Modified possess acceptable properties potential candidates effective delivery
