Patients
with
inflammatory
bowel
disease
(IBD)
have
an
increased
risk
of
developing
venous
thromboembolic
events,
which
a
considerable
impact
on
morbidity
and
mortality.
Chronic
inflammation
plays
crucial
role
in
the
pathogenesis
thrombotic
events
patients
IBD.
However,
many
unresolved
questions
remain,
particularly
regarding
mechanisms
that
determine
persistent
state
independent
activity.
This
review
explored
gut
microbiota
dysbiosis
intestinal
barrier
dysfunction,
are
considered
distinctive
features
IBD,
determining
pro-thrombotic
tendencies.
Gut-derived
endotoxemia
due
to
translocation
bacterial
lipopolysaccharides
(LPS)
from
intestine
bloodstream
metabolite
trimethylamine-N-oxide
(TMAO)

The
pathogenic

we

Abstract
Environmental
factors
play
an
important
role
in
inflammatory
bowel
diseases
(IBD;
Crohn’s
disease,
[CD],
ulcerative
colitis
[UC]).
As
part
of
the
&
Colitis
Challenges
2024
agenda,
Triggers
workgroup
summarized
progress
made
field
environmental
impact
on
IBD
since
last
cycle
this
document.

broad
categories:

Epidemiology;

Exposomics
and
measurement;
(3)

mechanisms;
(4)
