Abstract: Introduction: Cycling can confer public mental health advantages for diverse populations, attenuating stressors and strengthening prosocial engagement. Conversely, competitive conditions in high-performance domains may entail prominent psychiatric risk factors that require bespoke interventions. In other sports, certain national federations have introduced schemes various target populations. However, the extent to which comparable approaches been adopted across cycling remains unclear. Methods: We sought gain broader insights into whether European (ECFs) implemented dedicated programmes around health, focussing on N=51 ECFs affiliated with international regulator, Union Cycliste Internationale. Initially, a search was conducted of ECF websites. Where apposite materials were unavailable, contacted via email phone. Results: 62% total (N=32) captured results. Findings analysed coded three categories, namely: “ECF-level literature or initiatives”, “No ECF-level response”. Based our interpretation, these N=32 ECFs, n=7 (22%) highlighted strategies either their website during contact phases. The remaining n=25 (78%) noted no official policies initiatives. Conclusion: Across included there appears be limited consideration about developing schemes, potentially conditioned by resource constraints disparate organisational priorities regulations. For those relevant programmes, majority focussed contexts, less attention towards relationship between demographics. Accordingly, evidence from different associations sports could guide effective, tailored approaches.

Background/Objectives: Several systematic reviews and meta-analyses have been conducted to date indicating a high prevalence of disordered eating in elite athletes associated risk factors. However, the substantial time burden with locating comparing these reviews, which are varied methodology sampling focus, may be barrier for informing policy best practice as well directing future research. This umbrella review aimed provide summary evidence across published regarding factors (including body image concerns disorders) athletes. Methods: Five databases (CINAHL, PsycINFO, MEDLINE, Scopus, SPORTDiscus) were systematically searched peer-reviewed that met following inclusion criteria: (1) investigated eating, (2) included sample athletes, (3) available English. The studies underwent data extraction bias assessment using AMSTAR 2. Results: initial search identified 1828 articles screened title abstract then full text, leaving 24 10 meta-analyses). Disordered was prevalent including males females sport type. Elite at elevated disorders but lower versus non-athlete controls. identified, female gender, competing lean sports, experiencing career changes. Few or examined perceived pressures within sporting environment, most had concerns. Conclusions: spectrum all should considered primary prevention screening. Further research is needed sport-specific general mediators better inform interventions.

To that end, sample n = 35 prominent competitions was compiled using web materials community engagement, encompassing elite amateur entrants, diverse course designs, prize money opportunities. Data-gathering conducted across two phases between November December 2023, with an initial review UMRO resources. Subsequently, UMROs were contacted via email to validate or ascertain their policies. Insights respondents reviewed coded. who did not reply excluded analysis. Results Based this methodology, positions 17 captured, covering 159 races approximately 96,500 annual participants. Of these, 8 self-developed pursuant external authorities like WADA NADOs. 4 had created specific proprietary policy, often incorporated WADO NADO materials.
